A piece of camogie history was made last Saturday when four sisters – including a set of triplets – lined out together for Clare against Galway in the National League.

Triplets Rachel, Susan and Lynda Daly were joined on the Banner side by their younger sister Jennifer for the Division 1A Round 1 encounter in Ennis. Susan opened the scoring for the home side, but inspired by Niamh Niland, Galway ran out 0-17 to 0-8 winners.

The Daly sisters play with the Scariff Ogonnelloe club in east Clare.

Remarkably, the Waterford ladies footballers also had the Murray triplets, Aoife, Emma and Katie, and their sister Cora in action against Cork in the National League last weekend.
