Andy Mcentee And The Referee - 12 Like(s)
I have often said this. I find him unhinged, manic and has a complete disregard for taking responsibly for his own failures. He has done well with Meath however cant take them to the next level. The incident after the Tyrone vs Meath qualifier was a prime example. I felt completely embarrassed for him and the Meath players who were "trying to hold him back." It was all for show, like one of these clowns you see outside a nightclub on a Saturday night trying to fight people "only for my friends holding me back" routine. Why not take responsibility for the goalkeeping situation?? The meath fans cry about injuries...…..why doesn't McEntee tailor his training or get rid of the S&C coach who's main job is injury prevention? No he takes the easy way out...….blame the ref. How easy is that? Strikes me as someone with a huge chip on his shoulder. Meath should get rid.

Why Do Kerry "Supporters" Not Go To Support There Team In Croke Park? - 9 Like(s)

Replying To GreenAndGold74:  "Distance/Expense/"
Cop out. Mayo travel in their droves and it's roughly the same distance. I actually feel sorry for the team because they could do with the support. No fair on the players

Kerry V Tyrone. - 8 Like(s)

Replying To TheHermit:  "Well Tyrone keeping up their county's well earned reputation, those two umpires should be banned from ever standing on a GAA pitch again. What a great sport we have, drag a fella down on the ground by the neck and HE gets a yellow and subsequent red!! This sport a joke at this stage"
Ahh dry up. No congrats to Tyrone no? Both teams had to play on the same pitch. Clifford is well able to give it out, the both of them were at it. Get over it. Peter Harte shouldn't have been sent off. He took it like a man and not a petulant child. Great win for Tyrone. I thought it was a good game considering the conditions. Unlucky to Kerry. Safe journey home

The Dubs, The Monies & The Prejudices - 8 Like(s)
Absolutely ridiculous piece. Tribe in the highest order. Few things.....you say mayo etc were the biggest spenders in 15,16 etc. Do you know how much it costs to put up 35 odd players and maybe 15 backroom team in a hotel in Dublin? Or travel expenses in general, something the Dubs don't really have to worry about. Also the last line....about knowing what other counties have to do. I presume you mean other counties have to work harder etc. Bull. What about when Dublin weren't as successful as they are now. Were you told to suck it up? NO!!! You were given millions to improve. Also what about Bertie and the rest of them giving ye millions?? Should that not have been shared out?

Dublin V Kerry NFL Final - 8 Like(s)

Replying To hill16no1man:  "What's the point in having a thread on the game if you only discuss one side of the game. of course refs make mistakes nobody is saying they won't. But what I pointed out has been happening every single weekend. At around 11v10 Kerry got three frees in a row to move 14v10 ahead in that same period the frees Kerry were awarded the same and worse tackles went in down the other end of the pitch and the ref refused to award the free in to Dublin. it's consistency and fairness to both teams that's the problem you can't award a free for the exact same type of challenge on the player in possesion at one end and not the other end, thats a major problem in the game, we even had that problem for monaghan last week the ref black carded Hughes for his trip on Fenton and in second half Fenton was bursting through on goal and taken down but no black card, the rules are there to be applied and as a player there's nothing worse than seeing a ref officiating things like that in the one game."
Jesus would you give over

Meath V Dublin Leinster Final. - 8 Like(s)

Replying To royaldunne:  "What can I say , we never turned up particularly our forwards, we left our scoring boots well and truly behind. 11 scoring chance in first half to dubs 9, yet went in with only one point on board, Meath had 22 scoring chances dubs had 25 in total. The score line doesn't lie . We all had asked for a performance unfortunately things just didn't happen at all, we couldn't hit the side of a hay shed. That should not take away from Dublin, and congratulations to them and their fans. Well done genuinely a team of a lifetime. As for Meath? We not as bad as that, so we dust ourselves down and go hell for leather in next match, all goals are still on for this year. Again best wishes to Dublin, I have no doubt you will do the 5 in row. Finally Hon the royal"
How many wides did Biggy hit?

Meath Football thread - 7 Like(s)

Replying To royaldunne:  "Meaths problems began by no infrastructure into underage. We have won both a minor Leinster and all Ireland recently, a lot of that team make up the u20s this year that are fav by many to win Leinster and could go on to win all Ireland. The problem with the current seniors is a needed change of management last year hasn't really brought a difference. Colm unfortunately seems more concerned with what people say on Sunday game than he does about how his team is playing. Now we have diehards who think Colm walks along the boyne every day (actually on the water) and he can do no wrong. Im more realistic. The brand of football we are currently playing is embarrassing, the players must take their share of responsibility but the book stops with management, who in their right mind sends out a team to go man to man with dubs AGAINST the wind. ? You play to ur strengths and that concept so far seems to have passed Colm by while he wonders what Cora Staunton will say is more important. Im heading to ashbourne to watch a well coached team play. As for the seniors? Well we more than likely will play in TC and lose to whoever we draw. We also have a former all star nominee fb and the best in county sitting at home twiddling his thumbs cause he wanted extra time off after Leinster campaign with his club. Like all other counties afforded their players"
McGill?? Watty Graham's players were back after a week or two and starting. If someone requested that in Tyrone they would be roaded

GAA Coaching / Game Development Grants By County 2007-2018 - 6 Like(s)

Replying To Joxer:  "Yes but give us your proposal for "fair" grant distribution and the logic behind said proposal. If it seems honest and fair the chances are that most Dubs, myself included, would support it. It's all relative though isn't it. Look at the sponsorship that Dublin generate but compared to what? I'm sure Mayo's sponsorship deal is more lucrative than Carlow's. Should Mayo have restricted funding as a result? No. It's the fruits of their own work. If a team is successful then sponsorship generation is easy. If they're not it's difficult. If Dublin start losing again, and they will, do you think AIG are going to be crawling to them on their hands and knees begging the DCB to allow them to sponsor the team? Dublin is a big place and it requires big funds. The challenge is coming up with an equitable means of distributing central funding. If the current system is not equitable then put forward an equitable proposal and let's hear it."
Build your own 30000 seat stadium with floodlights and maintain it. Build your own centre of excellence Split your massive amounts of sponsorship money.

GAA Funding And Fairness - 6 Like(s)
I can see this descending into the usual Dublin vs Kerry sh##show. Let's try to be level headed here and try to stop the one upmanship I wish Dublin supporters would come on here and admit the funding is unbalanced-because it is. You can argue about population, players per whatever etc. You Dubs support change to the current structure's? I've said in a previous thread the govt funds/GAA funds far outweighed where Dublin were talent wise. They had the players, everyone could see that, all they needed was a good manager in Gilroy to realise their true potential. I mean they weren't Wicklow in Div 4. The tap should have been turned off years ago. Now it's to late and the Dubs are a behemoth that can't be stopped. They might get caught once. But they will go on a run of 4-5 all Ireland's in a row. Kerry and other counties should stop playing the tiny violin, we have excellent facilities etc. My main point is I wish someone from Dublin would keep a cool head from the taughts and say "you know what, the Dubs playing in Croke Park week in week out is an unfair advantage" or "the funding/sponsorship has got unbalanced." We don't have to back our county teams every time, it doesn't make you a any less of a supporter to disagree every once and a while.

I just wish the Dubs could have a less blinkered outlook and realise it's extremely frustrating for other counties seeing this happening. The advantages the Dubs get effect is all and will continue to do so. And I know it's not your fault but just try to look at it from other supporters point of view. The dubs would be complaining just as much if the shoe was on the other foot.

Strange comment. If it had of been 10-9 it would of been dour Ulster football. 1-24 to 1-16. Goal chances. Great scores. Some people just love complaining.

2019 NFL Division 2 final - 6 Like(s)

Replying To royaldunne:  "All in all a fantastic start to the year. The game itself didn't really matter as the goal had been achieved, that been said by jasus we had some excellent play today, I won't say anything about the ref apart from the yellow jersey was showing under the black one. Huge thanks to Andy McEntee what a manager, what a passionate Meath man, he really has instilled some fantastic qualities in that team. Micky Newman? What can I say, absolutely brilliant, pity McMahon had to go off injured as he was tormenting donegal defense, in the end cuteness and inexperience caught us out, roll on the championship. Two last things congratulations to donegal who knows maybe we will have a third meeting down the road. To Andy and the players, thank you from the bottom of my heart you all have given everything this year and have returned us to our rightful place in division one. It would have been nice for your efforts to be rewarded with a bit of silverware, but that will come. The special bond that has been built up between players and supporters this year has been inspirational. Fantastic, I would normally be down after a defeat, but in fact the prize was already achieved, odd feeling this happy after a loss, again thank you all. Can't wait for Offaly in navan. Bring it on. Hon the royal"

Calling posters Harry and Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber is something you would hear on a playground full of children. You have stated before you like thing talk BS, p**s take and turn things into a slag fest. Sometimes posters what to talk GAA. There are other forums and social media for talking BS. We all like the craic but the name calling and p**s taking does get annoying at times. Just saying kid. Anyway good luck
in the league and really looking forward to the 11th in Croke Park.

Dublin refusing to do one-on-one broadcast interviews - 5 Like(s)
I don't think Spillane or O'Rourke did anything wrong. Talked about it for a minute or so, said he should be banned. What did people want them to do, not talk about it? Jim also talked about the occupation of the two men, what the hell has that got to do with it? He also talked about Connolly's good name. Even the Dubs have to admit he doesn't have a good name with discipline issues on the football pitch or off it. Unreal player but very poor discipline. Galvin in also talked about the Sunday game pundits having an agenda. What about the Sky pundits? They bought it up first and talked about it a lot longer than the Sunday game did. So does that mean McGuiness, Canavan, etc all have agendas against Dublin and Connolly? Dublin would be better off leaving this.
