To be fair, their is great fight in all the teams. If Paul Henry can get the boys refreshed in their heads and get them up for a Connacht Quarter final against Mayo, then we have a fighters chance. I genuinely believe that Sligo's run last year has upped the fight in all the Connacht teams. It's tough being the "top Dogs". I don't think the other counties liked us using that phrase. It's like they want to put us back in the corner. Time for the Dogs to let loose next Wednesday or retreat to the kennels. Sligeach Abu

If they get a bit of momentum you'd never know. All about belief" would love to see a Connacht winner of AI U20. Standard appears good. Will the break be good or bad for the Rossies till the final ? I'd say Galway boys were rattled by Rossies leap frogging them to the final. Sligo look like they could be hitting form a the right time...serious second half v Mayo. Great round robin this year and can't hurt the development of all Counties going forward. Best of luck against Mayo this weekend. Sligeach abu

Why can't Monaghan go at a team. Even with a couple of minutes left they didn't seem to know how to get away from their defensive rubbish. It is so boring to watch and getting you nowhere. Galway got sucked in to this rubbish but at least they got over the line with more class in their attack

I wasn't expecting to beat Down but I wasn't expecting that comprehensive of a beating either. Best of luck to Down in division 2 next year." Agree. The manner of defeat is worrying. Down fair play are going very well and sounded like they were ruthless today. Hopefully Down are the real deal and this is just a blip in our development. Division 3 mid division isn't a bad platform for Mcentees successor.

Leitrim were far superior to us and basically left it behind. They could regret that." As long as we beat Mayo, we will be fine. A draw between Leitrim and Ros won't improve their goal difference.

Galway won't win AI in April so peaking at right time is your task this year

Was for me one of the finest efforts I have ever seen of a Sligo team. They left everything out there. You can't complain about effort and we just lost out in a ding dong battle. In real time at the game, Nathan Mullens contest for the ball looked harmless enough but the contact seemed to knock out the down lad so his goose was cooked. Carabine took a big hit later that went unpunished ???. Penalty I'm not so sure about... looked like the Down lad played for it. Mark Walsh being done for over carrying was a turning point, again a tight call. Would be great to see this team push on from this. Down will win TC this year so all in all a good season. Next year is the most important year for Sligo football in a long a while. Sligeach abu
