Matt Connor was the greatest forward in the last 40 years, O'Dwyer said that he was the only player at the time of the great Kerry team that would get on his team, he was only 24 when his career was cut short, he had 3 all stars, he could have been chosed in any of the forward positions, so this team has no credibility, none of the 6 forwards on the chosen team would even lace his boots he was that good.

Replying To brianb: "Congratulations to Naas - very well deserved. Kildare football needs a strong Naas team. They seemed to get a little bit jittery towards the end but came through it well and were much deserved winners.
There's a good profile in the team with experienced county men ably supported by excellent young players. I hope they can enjoy the celebrations but then knuckle down for a decent tilt at Leinster.
