Remember Dingle doing this in either the club Munster final or All Ireland semi final. It happened too much last year for a completely avoidable grey area. Galway don't have top level coaches being hired by other counties, bar Kevin O'Brien with Scotstown and Kevin Walsh with Cork. I'd like a manager to have been outside the county to learn his trade. Andy Moran was apparently well regarded as a forwards coach in Monaghan, it showed in their fast attacks. Id have Kevin Walsh only if he had someone like Jason Sherlock for the attack. PJ and that team gave us many great memories over the last 7 years but the time was probably right for a change. I would love to see Stephen Rochford in charge great success with corofin and was a red card away from an all Ireland with mayo. Totally agree.Its treating players like children.No other sport does it.As long as you leave the ball where it is and dont kick it away.Also shouldn't be 50 metres,should be 20.And same for dissent.20 Mrs for first time and if they dont stop then another 20. Best of luck to PJ.A great football man and unlucky to a degree.Galway have plenty of talent so with the right manager at the helm,they can win Sam and for me its Mickey Harte. Personally I think they should definitely try get Jim Gavin. He mighr have no interest in getting back into management at all if not I' think Raymond Galligan would be my next choice i know he was there this year for few months but I think he could definitely make step up to manger job he would know the players ( which might be good ) also he know the ones he needs to call time on again only my opinion Kickitout (Galway) - Posts: 1173 - 04/09/2026 13:04:09 2692701 Link
