Not fair on the likes of killeevan who will miss out over this."
Completely disagree with this the two players who played instead were arguably better then the two players who couldn't play.

They were with Latton a few years ago and left because they couldn't listen to the daddy's wondering why their sons weren't getting playing. Be very surprised if they went back

Agree with most I'd probably argue that Blackhill should be sitting maybe between aghabog and Currin then the rest is pretty accurate maybe 1 or 2 spaces to be argued.
Blackhill have no juveniles produced and relying on the old guns and their transfers from donaghmoyne to field teams, a great team at its past but feel their time is over. Still think they beat aghabog but can't see them beating that Currin team

Any other opinions?

Can see many upsets this weekend in latton vs scotstown ( scotstown coming back from bye weekend and have gathered some injuries...Max maguire hamstring? and jack mc curin hurt too, Beggan still out?) Latton can most definetly steal that one.
Cremartin may get their act together over a tough tough maghercloone team.
Can see Clontibret hammering a really disjointed blaney team ... however give them time as they are still very young .
Mouth wattering affair between corduff and carrick ... Moe the ref will have his hands full in that one .

Very flattering on the Faughs. Should be in between tyholland and clones. Only got promoted due to Carrick celebrating last year

Replying To Jjoniel79:  "With the restructuring - more reserve teams should be in the junior championship. I could be wrong but I think Dublin is just a big ladder structure, with reserve teams able to climb all the way up to the 2nd division?

Either way a massive shakeup was and is needed. Every club team bar Scotstown, maybe Inniskeen and a few time wasters in senior is infinitely worse than it was ten years ago and you can see every club is still relying on men whose prime was 10 years ago. Ballybay were still reliant on Jaap two years ago, Clontibret are still hoping for a McManus return, Latton would be relegated without the two Duffy brothers, the harps are gone and both blayney and Magheracloone are now yo-yo clubs.

League football has lost all meaning now and are glorified challenge matches to keep clubs training fodder fit while their championship players are in American or are getting themselves ready for the summer. Worse again is lads are better off playing in house games and saving diesel money than B and C competitions these days - they're a different world to what they were years ago and most club teams senior managers don't even go to the reserve games now.

Fans and players can crib all they like about GB and even get Jim Gavin in if they like - looking around the county it is getting harder every year to pick out players at the level of your intercounty contenders like Kerry, Dublin, Armagh, Mayo, etc.."
Exactly. Think Cavan doing it that way too. Have no reseve leagues just 10 divisions. Let clubs enter teams in the junior champ. If the clubs there are not good enough that's on them. Nonsense talk about not letting other clubs play junior champ .. just so small clubs can win it

Think this is a bit much looking at aughnamullen and killany in the top 10. Cremartin not playing great but surely go ahead of them. To be a fair opinion i think Blayney lucky to be sitting in 8 aswell.

What's predictions saying for this weekend?

I'd hold the horses on Magheracloone. They're a steady senior side, but can't be the third best team in senior with that forward line. Won a league against Scotstown's B team last year and got hockeyed by Inniskeen in the semi final.
Inniskeen are just so unlucky to have this golden generation come along at the same time as Scotstown. A little village competing against 5 villages combined + McCarron. I went off them a bit over the Durnin transfer, but at the same time, what club would turn him down? Would love to see them get one but last year was the best chance they'll ever have with Scotstown's injuries.

Replying To BrehonBlonde:  "It looks like there were teams like Latton and Blayney flattering themselves by going hard during the league, when the real contenders like Inniskeen weren't even fielding, with even Carrick putting out scrap teams and taking all in. Inniskeen going well, but will be second fiddle to Scotstown in the latter end. The relegation battle will be where the real competition is this year."
It was quite funny seeing the Castleblayney lads on here over the last few months that were clearly still in Intermediate-Mode thinking the senior league mattered.

Scotstown topped it whilst missing 12+ starters every game. Clontibret, as they have done for 20 years at this stage, couldn't care less about it (didn't even bother fielding a team for a league semi final a few years ago), Inniskeen conceded a fixture. It has become a shambles over the last 10 years. How do we fix it?

I still think it we need to separate league and championship. Allow promotion and relegation from both.

As for relegation, it would be a miracle at this stage if Corduff stay up. The wheels have come off completely. Surely McGee, Gallagher and Donnelly will all leave next year?

Latton to beat scotstown( coming off bye week and injured men) big shock due latton nothing to lose
clontibret to destroy blaney. blaney side too unexpierienced at this senoir top level.
carrick to thump corduff by minimum 15 points. Moe the ref will have his hands full too with big derby.
Cremartin may chance a draw vs maghercloone . no one to mark mooney for the mitchells men.

Some upsets are due. This is Championship. Bring it on!

If all sides are fully fit, I'd definitely have Aughnamullen ahead of Cremartin. If the two teams played, I can't see how Cremartin would matchup with McCaul and Bannigan up front. If Cremartin were able to get Barry Kerr out again it would be closer.

Junior clubs want to get better, there is no question if junior is neglected and more C teams are entered you will loose small traditional clubs, 10 years ago Rockcorry were in an intermediate championship final,

Anyone who isn't up to date with junior and its advantages listen to Gary Larkin speaking on the Monaghan podcast, explained perfectly what this new format could do to the smaller clubs.

Fair play to Gary Larkin for voicing his opinion on the structure for next year on the We Are Monaghan Podcast, standing up for what he believes in and I'd have to agree with him that Junior is gonna become a retirement home with these C teams etc entering, Junior competition should be for A teams and B and C teams should stay in the B and C competition. It's the same group of players playing for Scotstown C D and E teams

Cremartin have just survived relagation every year in senior. After losing their best payer after Stephan Mooney in Barry Kerr they should be there. Bate by a corduff team in a relagtion final who were beat by 18 points by iniskeen then to get well beaten by truagh whos missing Gary mohan and Louis Kelly.
