Maybe their 40th is not far away, and those t-shirts can be updated, but…. as I already said, as a friend of mine from Galway messaged me - "this Kerry team will now always be remembered as the team that lost an All Ireland Final to Mayo…".

Galways championship record against Kerry is atrocious, as was Dublins before the GAA stepped in (wink wink).

Your Galway friend I promise would gladly take 39 all Ireland titles if it meant being the team who lost to Mayo in an All-Ireland final.
