Replying To jam83:  "I think.Anthony Cunningham could be a good manager. But would need a good backroom of modern coaches and a shrewd tactician as well. A Paul Kinnerk type."
Anthony's days of managing are behind him, He would have stayed on with St Brigids this year if he was able to commit.

If Joyce does go will Graham, Galligan and Lynda Duffy go with him?

Replying To ahsure.:  "History has shown that managers from outside the county rarely work out for us. We struck gold with Johno, but he was an exceptional case and one of the best around.

So the question is: who within the county is capable of taking the reins and pushing us on to the next level?

If the decision is to look outside the county again, it would need to be someone with a proven track record, a manager who's been there, done it and delivered at the highest level. Realistically there arent many of those still involved on the intercounty scene."
History shows that managers from inside the county rarely work either.

Replying To Emmets67:  "Nevin O'Donnell, ex-Leitrim goalie who also plied his trade with/in Cavan and London in his time. Meant to be a highly rated coach as well at 32. You'd wonder what his connection with Moola-cullen is"
I suggest it would be advisable not to rely on auto spellchecker for people or place names.

I'm not saying he'd be the right man for the job, but what about Pep Guardiola? At least sound him out while he's doing the Cúl Camp in Maigh Cuilinn?

The alternative would be to do a Kilkenny and pack it in altogether. Focus on what we're good at... the Races, the Arts Festival. We're not a serious footballing county.

If a position arises he has to be high on the list. I cannot see him spending another year in Div 4, but perhaps he can do more with Leitrim than many believe. Just look at Wicklow to see what a good manager can do in a short time.

Decent shout, though Mark McHugh would be my choice.
