Limerick weren't at it for most of match and Clare produced their best performance of year..delighted by the win and really looking forward to next 2 weeks.. On another note best of luck to Shane o Donnell in whatever he does next..a superb hurler who lit up hurling for years..a gentleman and a great ambassador for the Gaa.."

Shane O'Donnell is teak tough to go along with the skill, thats often overlooked as his skill is off the charts. Was a privilege to be alive to see him play over the last 13 years.
Replying To Fionn: "Gutted for Clare tbh but some comeback by Limerick. At half time Clare led 0-16 to 0-11 and were full value for it. But in the 2nd half, other than the penalty, the Banner only scored Three Points. Some bad wides and The Treaty men finally kicking into gear ensured an at times unlikely Limerick victory. In fact Clare didn't score after the penalty and then led by 6pts. But Limerick finished with 1-05 including their injury time goal. I thought there would have been more at the game tbh. Under 57,000 in attendance.
Some heart and determination on show at the end by Limerick and the introduction of Cian Lynch, immediately after the penalty, saw them home.
On the penalty - there has to be a tweak to that rule. A definite Black Card offence.
Hopefully Galway put it up to Limerick in the final and we have another cracker of a game."

That aside, you have to admire Limerick. They had to dig deep to win and beating Galway would confirm for all time their place among the greatest teams of all. Perhaps even as the best.
I think they will win the final but Galway have been very consistent over the year. Donoghue has them exactly where he wanted. Their hammerings of Kilkenny and Dublin in Leinster were perhaps not taken as seriously as they might have been.

I was only thinking that on Saturday. I know Leinster wasn't great this year but Galway are starting to look really good all of a sudden.

If Galway go on and win it, will people perhaps revise their opinions of the abilities of this Dublin team?
Clare really brought the intensity and physicality yesterday. Limerick have always been renowned for "playing on the edge" but Clare dictated where the edge was for long parts of that game yesterday. Limerick stayed in the fight got a bit of luck and dogged it out. At 6 points down after the penalty I would have bit your hand off for a draw. Winning that game from there is unbelievable.
I'm going to really enjoy the build up to the All Ireland Final. I have huge respect for Galway and the Galway supporters. I remember how gracious they were to us when we won in 2018 and every Galway supporter I have had the opportunity to engage with at league and championship matches since have been decent likeable people.
Obviously I am hoping for a Limerick win first and foremost but if there's one team who I wouldn't begrudge and All Ireland to It is Galway. May the best team win
