Poor day yesterday. Obviously delighted with the win but not much else. Poor attendance ( whatever happened to the 12,000 sold tickets ?), awful first half for Leitrim, they couldn't seem to get anything right. With the game practically won at half time, our lads lacked intensity in second half, Leitrim upped theirs, pushed us back, and showed what they are capable of. That sub ( Kelly) looks the real deal, any more promising youngsters coming through ?

I wouldn't pay too much attention to some of the so-called Leitrim posters here. There's a fair bit of nonsense being talked, and I doubt many of them have actually been at a Leitrim game in a long time. From yesterday's match, our first half was very poor and Wexford were completely comfortable. Jack made a big difference when he came on. The last time we played each other, Wexford had 11 of the same players involved yesterday, while Leitrim only had two. We were missing around six players through injury, and to be fair they're six of our most important players. It's a young team and there are signs of improvement, but next year will be a crucial one. We need to do what ye did - get out of Division 4 and, just as importantly, stay out of it for a few years. Leitrim_12 (Leitrim) - Posts: 98 - 07/06/2026 15:21:32 2678517 Link 0 |

Watching Kelly play Football was worth the drive up by itself.

Hard luck to Leitrim yesterday, down a lot of important players McNulty, prior and mcgloin. Good to see Paul keaney get some minutes as he has serious ability. Hopefully we get the likes of daragh Rooney who is back with Melvin Gaels, radek oberwan , Darren cox and donal Casey back to fitness along with some new additions , anyone being standing out at club level as I've not watched much league action Leitrimforsam2024 (Leitrim) - Posts: 58 - 07/06/2026 22:11:17 2678592 Link 0 |
