I can only assume that if they handed Jim a suspension they would have had to do something to St David and they really don't want to do that. All they need to do now if to have that hot ball and make sure Kerry get a handy draw!

not a word. It would only be an used as an excuse put around in a couple of weeks after your exit. A full bill of health and everyone on sideline is what we can ask for. no excuses now, jam

Thank god. GAA did the sums and came to right conclusion that banning Clifford and Jim would have caused absolute carnage. The whole comparing it to Ger Brennan was such whatabouterry. shaggykev (Donegal) - Posts: 445 - 26/05/2026 12:37:58 2675706 Link 8 |

I'm actually delighted as it would have dictated all the build up to Donegal matches. There will be new laws introduced for future incidents. TheFlaker (Mayo) - Posts: 8849 - 26/05/2026 12:38:00 2675707 Link 0 |

Absolutely and 2 wrongs don't make a right but Ger Brennan has every right to be even more disgusted now.

Yeah right, the games gone, sure there will be pitch invasions all over the Country now with managers boxing the head off everyone. I get it you're disappointed Jimmy didn't get banned but talk about an overreaction.

Jim would have gotten a 24 month ban if the cccc had to listen to Daniel signing.

did you not mean to say Clifford, a clear fore arm to McGonagle's head, an after the hooter a late shoulder to McGonagle again that started the whole thing, no cards or even a talking too. Murphy did nothing except play football on Sunday and take hit after hit from Kerry players all day long, with no reaction. That show you the class of the man, unlike the Kerry supporters who let themselves down. ulsterrules (Donegal) - Posts: 292 - 26/05/2026 13:01:19 2675717 Link 2 |

Ah I mean about everything surrounding it. Of course pleased with the win and performance but the booing and some of the stuff I heard in the stand.. just wasn't enjoyable at all and not what I go to games for.

100% it was a ridiculously punitive ban on Brennan and if I was him I'd be absolutely fuming with this. I'm sure he doesn't want Jim banned either but just fairness to be applied. I'm glad of course it makes a big difference to our prospects but it's a headscratcher how they can justify it really CCFabu (Donegal) - Posts: 336 - 26/05/2026 13:55:10 2675741 Link 1 |
