Not looking great. Missing too many. Sean O Shes still in a boot from what I heard. So another Months before we see him if even then. For all the complaints about Kerry's displine, Donegal got away with murder. They got away with a lot of fouls on turnovers to slow down play. As well while there is a lot of compliants about the treatment of Micheal Murphy at the start of the match it was nothing compared to the treatment that DC got at the start of the match. There was nottwo trying to pull the Jersey off MM.

If they can give Rathnew players multi year bans.....then those Kerry players should get something similar for drawing blood ?

Gooch would need to be dead for him to get reincarnated so your post is invalid

Yep, not a notion how to handle the extra man and did the one and only thing you don't do when you're a man up.

Was scratching my head wondering how on earth Cork are getting short ones away a man down and Meath can't. Mismanagement at its finest.

I think you were watching a different match to the rest of us?

Next Monday 1st June, the Round 2B draw in particular will be interesting, finally some jeopardy as teams have to win or they're OUT. It's shaping up to potentially brutal:

Kerry
Meath
Kildare
Roscommon
Armagh or Derry
Dublin or Louth
Mayo or Monaghan
Westmeath or Cavan

Already through to Round 2A:

Donegal
Tyrone
Galway
Cork

'24 was Armagh's year. Kerry responded last year. Donegal are responding this year. Kerry accepted the clear red card on Saturday. Donegal did not after the league final. A bit of heckling is par for the course after the dirty stroke in the league final. Some of the Donegal reaction to that is laughable. I thought Donegal were a sporting county like Kerry. It might be just a minority or outliers in Donegal being bad winners. Sin é.

RIP The King. Frank was an all-time great and one of my favorite players to watch-pure natural ability and flair. I saw him kick four points from play, two with the left and two with the right, off the great John O'Keeffe in an Ulster win over Munster in the Railway Cup in Limerick many many years ago. It was some duel between the two of them.

Results went against 2 provincial winners at the weekend while 2 provincial runners-up responded. At least 2 provincial winners could be paired in Round 2B. Whether provincial winners should be at least kept apart before the quarter finals might be worth some consideration. It would mean 4 provincial winners potentially getting through to Croke Park unless knocked out by a league qualifier.
Provincial winners knocking each other out before Croke Park is a bit OTT in the current format. Not against separating provincials from the All Ireland but that's a different kettle of fish of that leap is taken.

Total nonsense. Not one Donegal person I know said anything otherwise than that Murphy deserved a red in the league. Your fellow county men are plenty embarrassed by your fans and their socceresque booing over on the Kerry forum and I wouldn't blame them. And that's not to mention half of them leaving with 15 mins to play. Sin é indeed.

How could Donegal accept a red card after the league final, when they didn't get one? What's to accept?
Any Donegal poster I've seen on here accepts that Murphy should have gotten red card though. There's no debating that.
Did you expect the Donegal management team to ask for a red card retrospectively? That'd be a first for any intercounty manager.
I don't recall Jack O'Connor coming out after the 2009 final and saying Tadhg Kennelly should have been red carded.

There was no red card in the league final. No one talked about the league final when Down beat Donegal. No one would be talking about the league final if Kerry had beaten Donegal on Saturday.

Kerry supporters weren't very sporting to their own team leaving the ground with ten minutes to go.

Paidí called it right.

Aside from all of the white noise after the HT controversy, It was a very tight game until half time and if Kerry hadn't got a man sent off at HT, playing with the wind in the 2nd half, it likely would have been a much tighter game. I still think Kerry are the strongest team in the Country when at full strength, they have a lot of top notch players still out.

Tony Brosnan is a class act, he racked up a huge score in Ballyshannon during the regular league game early in the year, I was surprised we didn't pay more attention to him when he came on in the 2nd half. The boy can kick from serious distance with serious power. Jack O'Connor is a classy manager, huge respect for the man and what he has repeatedly achieved. Getting men back and match fit will be vital for Kerry if they hope to retain the title.

Armagh are the team that currently stands out, their intensity is something else, and Tyrone are a dangerous animal, didn't see them beating that Roscommon side.
