Fabulous day in Carrick, a few Galway heads around Carrick already. They fear what is ahead of them today.

Huge crowd gathering in Carrick, Galway know they are going into the lions den, very confident of getting a nice win bit it will take a 2nd half like against London, if we reach them levels I think we will take Galway coming up the straight.

No shame to lose to one of the big two if we play our best and I know the lads will. Tis like a day in June out there

Making my way out to the battlefield now, get to Carrick later, it will be some party when we qualify for the Connacht final, very confident in beating an average enough Galway team.

Half time, going to plan, fully expect to win this with the wind in the 2nd half, we have without a doubt the majority of the better players. Just goes to show there is very little between division 1 and division 4 teams.

Not a heartening spectacle in the first half. A scenery of wides by both teams. In addition Leitrim hit the post (so did Galway) and dropped two short. But we stole one or two of they're short kickouts. Galway 0-11, Leitrim 0-4.

Absolutely robbed, clearly robbed, we may meet them again in the qualifiers and we will take them, all the best players were wearing green and gold.

A case of what might have been. Our best player had an off day and we still ran Galway close. You'd have to say advantage Mayo for winning the final on the basis of this result.

Not a bad fist at it, based on the scoreline. Look to have backed up the last day out.

You must of been one of the 30 leitrim supporters at the game, very poor show of support from both counties

2nd year in a row Poacher got a competitive performance out of Leitrim in a Connacht semi final when the expectation was for a heavy loss.

A team worth following in the Tailteann Cup maybe even bláthach and ohwow might get out and attend a match?

There was 5000 there and there was more than 30 Leitrim supporters. Thats not a bad turnout when ticket prices are so high and it being a working day also. I enjoyed it, Galway fans were very vocal but they were beginning to get a bit quieter at the end

No one in Leitrim expected a heavy loss. Maybe those who don't know their football thought that way. You're shocking concerned about whether I attended the game aren't you. It shouldn't matter to someone in the UK

Thanks so much stevie and the guys for that spirited performance today please. I'm sure Connacht council are glad that both semi finals won't be one sided washouts thank you.

Despite what some posters here predicted we did well.

Well after my pessimistic view at halftime, I have to say the boys really dug in and didn't give up. Definitely a case of what might have been if McNulty had been on song, but I hope no-one holds that against him. When they went ten points down they rallied and reduced the deficit to just three points. We won more than our fair share of midfield battles which is very promising for what's ahead. Looking forward now eagerly to the Tailteann Cup.
