Replying To smallfrank:  "It looks a strange team and panel to me.
Daly hasnt been at 6 in a while and O'Conghaile is a good lad but not exactly in the Thompson or Tierney mould, i can see changes before throw in. On the other hand, thats an impactful bench at first glance, Kelly, O'Flaherty, Walsh, Comer to come on. This would have been a good game for Mulryan to get a few minutes. Are the O'Neills still on the panel, wasnt it Sam O'Neill who started last year in Derry."
Thought Sam O'Neill did his cruciate!

You posted yesterday he was in the mix. Check with your source and advise us. I've been saying for years he should be included.

Is nobody else surprised that Shane McGrath isn't starting? I would have thought his performances throughout the league would have justified selected against Leitrim to make his championship debut. Not saying he should be starting over McDaid or O'Laoi but may be better suited to 11 than L O'C.

Replying To Drax_the_destroyer:  "Mixed news on the injury front, can imagine Walsh,Comer will be very rusty and both will need 20 or 30 minutes in their legs before the Connnacht final.

Galway to win by 13 to 15 points I reckon tomorrow."
I don't see that winning margin. Remember the Sligo match a few years ago. Galway have conceded huge amounts since the new rules came in. I think we'll be under pressure at stages, I'm expecting a fast start from Leitrim but if we can stifle that, we should have the bench to see it home.

In that starting 15 who do you replace for B McHugh? His deadballs skills are up with the best in the country but what does he offer the team in open play? Not enough to justify selection over Mac Donnacha. Darcy won't start inside, I can see at least 2 change before throw in.

He starts ahead of Liam Ó Conghaile, Céin Darcy and Oisín Mac Donnacha in that forward line tomorrow. Cein should be the engine room and Paul Conroy on the bench to come in with 20 to go. If Maher or McDaid can't manage McNulty we have major issues. Drop over to Creggs to the league game on Sunday to see what damage McHugh will do on Annaghdown, I bet they'll have a double sweeper and man marker in place. Alternatively ask anyone from Dunmore or Michael's how much damage he did to them in recent weeks. McHugh brings a clinical precision to getting scores and can also mind himself, if you get me. He is a nightmare for a defender with his strength and ability, if you foul in the scoring zone, he nails them frees. Finally, he is also always fit and available.

Replying To jam83:  "Mulryan has done ok in fairness to him but he's also been too easy to dispossess. He's had loads of game time too so I think he's a risk, needs a winter of conditioning then he could be a more important player."
Tho you're confusing Mulryan and Mulhern there!
Mulryan hasn't got any senior game time at all.
Agree with you if you meant Mulhern though :-)

He's definitely mixing them up. Mulryan isn't easy to dispossess at all. He's a big strong lad and well able to kick scores from distance.

Jack O'Neill was immense last night at Midfield for St James as was Colm Costello for Dunmore who edged it. Best game of football I've witnessed in a while. You can really see the county lads shine when they return to club. Johnny Dunane still have so much quality at no.6, his kick passing and positional awareness is top notch. Mathew Reddington again was playing some high calibre football and is a weapon running with the ball.
