Replying To Pope_Benedict:  "PJ is on record since the Sligo game 2 years ago that Galway don't like playing early on Saturday afternoons. That seemed to be his primary excuse about a flatish performance that day, a game that Sligo almost won, except for a late Comer intervention. This Leitrim game is fixed for 3.30pm Saturday.....be afraid, be very afraid."
Galway will win pulling up let's be honest.

Was expecting Galway to play Roscommon in the Connnacht final at the start of the year but the rossies are without Dáire Cregg and none of their Brigids players are up to speed so it should be a Galway v Mayo once more and no better team to beat in the final to win 5 in a row.

Galway form is easy to pick holes in. Our most recent Championship game resulted in a handy enough win for then Div 2 Meath, who were hammered by around 20pts 2 weeks later by Donegal, who were themselves then hammered by Kerry. We were put the pin of our collar to beat, depleated 14 man Dublin in Salthill, a team who's current standing was exposed last Sunday. I expect us to get over Leitrim for sure, which assures us of being in the winners/runnersup pot for the draw. Apart from London last time we played them, it is a long time since Galway had a convincing win.

If we've 6 forwards on Saturday kicking better scores than Mulryan is tonight, we'll be in great shape.

U20's lose to Roscommon by a point. Led for most of the game but got absolutely wiped out on breaking ball in midfield. And it got worse the longer the game went on. Another disappointing year at that level.

One of the teams you seem to be expecting to expose Galway in the Connacht final, got a fair trimming from Galway when they met in championship last year

Galway play to their opposition. Bar that Roscommon game and a Derry gamesm they haven't beaten anyone overly comfortably, but at the same time it's 4 years now since anyone beat them by more than a point.

The form of anyone they'll meet in Connacht can be picked apart easily also. Anyone outside of Dublin/Kerry in fact
