Replying To mintyfresh:  "I see team with subs and extended panel named for Sunday? What is the story with Boidu Sayeh and Sam Smyth? Are they injured or gone from the panel?"
Both are injury along with Guerin. Smyth is a massive loss and he was badly missed for the Wexford match!

Best of luck to our lads tomorrow I can see a big performance with us just falling short. Think Shane Corcoran has showed well and delighted to see him down to start tomorrow

Replying To Claretandblue:  "Was wondering when you'd reappear here, its been a while but then again we have had some significant victories at senior, under 20 and minor level in both codes over the past 3-4 weeks so hardly expect you to post words of praise or congratulations to the management and players. How is the planning coming along for your EGM that you and temple are organising?"
Congratulations to the County Minor and U20 teams and management on their recent victories over Dublin. The talent is there, structure isn't unfortunately. Papering over the cracks is not the answer. I haven't gone away you know, I will keep calling out the County Board until things change, don't you worry. Until we have the proper structures in place. There has been no visible push on the Centre of Excellence in over a year. That is damaging in itself. The County Board should be communicating a vision, exhausting all avenues for fundraising initiatives and most of all engaging with the Clubs. We need the Clubs pushing it, not just the County Board. When all the County Board are doing is pushing the Clubs away. The truth of the matter is, there is no clear plan to even raise €1 and no visible leadership on the project. It is good to see you commenting on matters again, you had taken a backseat with the County Board. Silence is deafening.

Replying To Greengrass1:  "Hold on for one sec. The county board didn't abandon the U20 game, the referee did which he was perfectly entitled to do as the match official in charge. In terms of overused club grounds, the options are limited as they are in most counties for U20 and Minor. Kinnegad is a fine facility but the rain that fell prior to and during the match meant that there wasnt any chance of the pitch drainage taking the volume of water in such a short space of time. It was the correct decision by the referee in my opinion. Was at the game, got soaked and hope to be at the refixture. Its hard on the players for both sides as the whole competition is squeezed into a very short timeframe."
I am not pointing the blame at Kinnegad, they have one of best Club facilities in the County. The pitch in Kinnegad is bound to be cut up, catering for their own teams in addition to hosting County Minor and U20 matches. It is bad enough having to look after your own without baling out the County Board. If it was not for Kinnegad and St Loman's (presumably the only viable floodlit venues to host a Inter County Championship game), the County Minor and U20 teams would have no home games? The referee made the correct call on the night, he did his job. It is not negligence in that moment but over time from the County Board. If a County has no floodlit pitches for the purpose of County teams, relies on Club pitches that are already being used 6 or 7 nights a week and still has no Centre of Excellence or long term facility plan, then the County Board has failed in its duty to provide proper infrastructure for its teams. It is like this, if your only car breaks down, it is not your fault that journey fails. But it is your responsibility if you never invested in another car.

Can someone please tell me why other floodlit venues cannot host games? Is it that we choose not too or is there a regulation that is holding back these other grounds?

Well Done Lads. To a man you were immense. 1/8 from paddy Power was always an insult.

Put that in your pipe Sunday Game and the comments from Pat Spillane

Some win, Meath were definitely favourites for Leinster. Would be great to see someone other than the Dublin / Meath on the Delaney Cup.

Fair play Westmeath. Very unlucky against us down in Wexford Park. Better team that day. Deserved to be in division 2. 1 win away now from all ireland series.

That is categorically not true. And I would say it's more a case of not been wanted.

So unbelievably proud leaving Tullamore team. What a team performance. I thought Scahill was absolutely outstanding along with Ray. The work rate of them all was phenomenal. Matty was driving everything. Brandon Kelly played also and deserves to keep his place for the next day. They deserve that win after what happened in Wexford a few weeks ago! We know they're a lot better than that.
