The fact that provincial winners have no advantage over the team they beat in the final is a bit of an anomaly.

100% right. There should be more of a reward for provincial winners.

Down game confirmed for odonnell park, I don't think maccumhaill park was ever a real possibility this year. Letterkenny is a venue I don't like simply because other than the stand there is no proper terracing and this makes it harder to get a decent view. I wonder will season ticket holders get reserved seats or will it be the usual free for all queue up at 6 am to get a seat in the stand...
