Replying To bloodandbandage:  "I agree with you 100% and the odds quoted for this match are just pure nonsense. This Dublin team have the power and pace to match Cork all over the field, and I expect this to be a right tough battle and not as free flowing as some would think

Harnedy is a huge loss for us, as he's guaranteed to score 3 or 4 points per game. He's also a brilliant target man for Collins; however, Dalton is an able replacement, and his long-range free talking will be a huge asset. I do worry about Hetherton (saw him up close at the Wexford match and he's a beast of a man!) coming on as Eoin has struggled with lads of his physique, but we'll just have to see how that pans out.

I really hope that we get a good clean game with no red cards, etc. And if we lose, I'll be shouting for the Dubs all the way in the final. Was at the Dublin/Limerick match, and the outpouring of joy at the end was amazing.

Fancy KK to beat Tipp in the other semi."
No match at this stage is a forgone conclusion, every team there is so on merit. I just feel Cork will go at Dublin far more direct than Limerick did and I think they will score goals which Limerick didn't. That said, Cork put so much energy into going for the kill at times, that can subsequently fade out of games for a period and that could be dangerous if Dublin can produce the same performance they did against Limerick.

I think Tipperary may turn over Kilkenny.

Best of luck to all Counties, and safe travels to those going to Croker on Saturday and Sunday

I think our lads will win handy enough. Harnedy will be back for final. Priority tomorrow is no red cards and injuries.

Cork by 10
Kilkenny by 8

Cork and the Cats will be a good traditional final.

Hate this nonsense of "never write off the Cats", as if they're traditionally the top team. I've wrote them off for years, as I am this year, and have been right every time. They've no chance.

Cork have been traditionally the most successful county, for most of hurlings existence, so surely the saying should be "never write off Cork", no?

If Kilkenny somehow manage to beat Tipp, they'll be walloped in the final by Cork. If I was a KK fan, id want to lose to Tipp, to avoid the battering that will be waiting for them in the final. Tipp might fair slightly better in the final.

I'm not saying this as a joke, as things stand right now, KK are miles behind Cork, and that doesn't look like changing anytime soon! Cork will embarrass KK in the final if they meet, that's the reality, and all this "don't write off the cats" nonsense will be put to bed once and for all hopefully!

So it's All Ireland Semi Final day and the only interest I have is the handicap of 8pts!
Cork will win no doubt but not sure if they are going to go full tilt or just do enough to get to the Final.
Cork in full swing could win by 15-20pts where as Cork taking it handy possible 5-6pts!!

Well, you can't write off Kilkenny, simply because they never give up or give you a moment's rest, no matter the standard of their players. They were like this before Brian Cody ever got hold of them.

However all that's for another day. Today it's Dublin who gave a very Kilkenny-like performance against Limerick, although a man down for three-quarters of the game. Cork won't have it easy today; they are still unproven and I'm just hoping they have enough to win

Thank god we were spared.

I've had a couple of small bets, Dublin at +7 points, and Hetherton to score a goal 'Anytime'.

Cork to be too good for Dublin. Hope I'm wrong. Cork by 8 points.

Kilkenny by 7 over Tipp tomorrow!

I am going to stick with the cats to win it all. They will never give that muck room to Cork. Especially in a final if they dispose of Tipp.

You could be right, Canuck. I think KK would be better equipped to take on Cork. Tipp have too many inexperienced players at this stage of their development.

Cats to win tomorrow but Cork to win the All Ireland. Yes there'll be a lot of hype by the Lee after today but the pain of losing last year's final will keep Cork grounded.

I think it is your team's own attitude you need to question as to why ye are not in the semi finals instead of them. "Dublin got well beaten by Galway and got hammered by Kilkenny for most of the game" was probably in your team's heads a bit too much.
