This must rank as Mayos worst ever preformance, london should have won culmore (None) - Posts: 1398 - 29/05/2011 20:11:35 942947 Link 0 |
Cant argue with that culmore. Listening to the commentary on the local radio it was clear that without Andy Moran we would certainly have lost. mod (Mayo) - Posts: 859 - 29/05/2011 20:43:42 942983 Link 0 |

Connacht is very poor at the moment everyone knows that. Since Galway won their last All Ireland in 2001 we have won three U-21 All-Ireland's (2002, 2005 and 2011) and a minor title in 2007. Until Galway appoint someone like Alan Mulholland or Kevin Walsh to take over the senior team it'll be the same old story. They know all about the underage talent in the country especially Mulholland who was the winning manager for the U-21's this year and the minor team in 2007. Hopefully the county board will see sense but I wouldn't hold my breath. . mon (Galway) - Posts: 675 - 29/05/2011 21:06:32 943005 Link 0 |
We did it. We turned over a team with a selection pool bigger than our entire country. A great day. TheMaster (Mayo) - Posts: 16187 - 29/05/2011 21:07:03 943007 Link 0 |

Fair enough lads but sligo are not considered a top team, Mayo are, were not aiming for An ALL Ireland ye are, WE have only 24-26 clubs in sligo ye have 55-60 I think we punch above are weight most of the time, Ye should be hammering teams like London, YE had one of the best club championchips in Ireland a few years ago Sligo clubs feared ye now yer not even top 2 in connaght,Ye really do have a problem lads Ye havnt replaced Brady,Nallen,Heaney,ONeill all born leaders yer looking to Freeman,Doherty,Vaughan to lead good players but all to young to lead a county team. Also all top teams in ireland have 2-3 players top players who can by themselves win games Ye dont have anyone near that standerd Dillons a good player not a great one ,ye had one of them a few years ago a man called Ciaran McDonald outstanding, top 5 players in Ireland who really could win a game on his own Ye dont seem to be producing players like him anymore, i started this By saying can ye win an All Ireland in the next 10 years lads its gonna be 30-40 years Good luck BETTER.THEN.YOU (Kilkenny) - Posts: 10 - 29/05/2011 21:33:30 943035 Link 0 |

Not wishing to disrespect London but some county and club teams do see this as a weekend away to unwind and sip a few beers. Ulsterman (Antrim) - Posts: 9818 - 29/05/2011 21:36:31 943041 Link 0 |
odds for a galway-ros connacht final? maybe that might wake mayo up a bit though, im still fearful of that trip to castlebar. and people say ulster is the most competitive championship in the country? check the records lads.. galwayman95 (Galway) - Posts: 292 - 29/05/2011 21:46:28 943054 Link 0 |
Paddyogall had the gall not to even mention London when he started this thread! LOL yet again at the arrogance of the guy. Barnowl94 (Galway) - Posts: 3150 - 30/05/2011 10:18:41 943142 Link 0 |

a great well done to mayo on their terrific win yesterday- london would have beaten a lesser team than mayo but the cream always rises as we say out west. the same bitterness hatred and jealousy is still alive in the gaa as this thread suggests- im begining to think that most people on here simply check the results on aertel so they can use anything they find for a slagging match- sad people but sure you will always have a few. liathroidboy (Mayo) - Posts: 4921 - 30/05/2011 11:43:04 943238 Link 0 |
Mayo and Galway in Castlebar is just what Connacht football needs at this moment. Hope to god it will be one of the clashes of the season. Mayo were better off scraping with a few to spare over London rather that slaughtering them. I heard Michael Meehan might not be fit for the game but there is plenty of talent in this Galway side and they have the boost of the U21's aswell. As James Horan said after the match yesterday, ''this form goes out the window" ... rocknroyal (Meath) - Posts: 308 - 30/05/2011 12:13:43 943275 Link 0 |
