If Kerry play at their best, Mayo have no chance and it could be a cricket score. However, Kerry haven't done that since they played Armagh (though in fairness they've had two teams who arguably could've made the All-Ireland final if the draw was different) and Mayo are in flying form. Their full forward line is lethal but Kerry has quality all over the pitch. I expect a strong Mayo start but for them to gradually fade away as Kerry get on top. Irish independent pundits yesterday, Micheal verney going for Kerry to win by 13 points , two others going for 9 points wins dickie10 (UK) - Posts: 969 - 26/07/2026 09:55:25 2687146 Link 0 |

Early walk for dog if its looking that way. Don't think it will. Several of same pundits were predicting Kerry would hammer Tyrone and Dublin. Mayo for me. BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 4512 - 26/07/2026 11:17:23 2687151 Link 1 |

Well if Mayo have a second half like a few games they played this year, Kerry will surely run away with it. That said, I think 5 / 6 points will be a good result for Kerry.

At least it's tight so far.... it wasn't looking good early after Clifford's goal. We'll see how the 2nd half goes. Square_B (Leitrim) - Posts: 2291 - 26/07/2026 16:13:29 2687184 Link 0 |

It felt like the floodgates were about to open when Clifford scored the goal but Mayo have responded magnificently and they will be delighted to be just one point down at half-time. The first ten minutes of the second-half will be crucial. Gaillimh_Abu (Galway) - Posts: 1059 - 26/07/2026 16:16:00 2687185 Link 0 |

Congratulations Mayo! Absolutely delighted for ye. By far the better team in the second-half and the heads never dropped when they missed some good chances to finish Kerry off. O'Donoghue is a warrior and an inspirational leader. Great to witness the joyous scenes at the end. Gaillimh_Abu (Galway) - Posts: 1059 - 26/07/2026 17:27:29 2687205 Link 0 |

Well done to our neighbours 3 point winners when about 8 points the better team today IMO. What next now for Mayo now that Sam is won for the first time in 75 years, average age is 24 so will be more days like today if they want it as much as today.
