I think it's a bit of a useless exercise trying to draw up a Power Ranking for 2026 in the middle of February as different teams are at different stages in their Championship preparations. Kerry for example are resting quite a few players in the League because of the standard in the Munster Championship so their Ranking is lower than it should be.

not that awfully different bar Roscommon, Tyrone and Derry.
The idea of power rankings is to rank team bases on a mix of recent past form and current form - with an emphasis put on current form. Of course its not relevant to championship in GAA - but who cares - I'm enjoying that fact that some lads take the whole idea of power rankings to heart, as if their county has been insulted
For me it's as simple as 1/2 Kerry & Donegal 3. Armagh, Galway, rossies (not in order) 4. Dubs, mayo, Tyrone, Derry (not in order) 5. Meath(maybe harsh) 6. Monaghan, Kildare
And the gap may look big between the top 2 and the rest but I don't think it is I think there is virtually nothing between top 9 except a bit of consistency, many forget this time 2 years ago dubs and Derry contested a league final after Derry ran Kerry close in semi the year before and dubs raining all Ireland champs and then both the dogs for a wee while, that kind of form can happen anyone when so little between all these teams, for me it's whoever can keep squad fit and can build up a bit of form without giving away too much tactically in league, also league good for squad building thats why Kerry slightly ahead for me. But if any of the teams in group 4 or up won I'd not be surprised, all Ireland wife open just like it has been for 3 or 4 years
