Replying To BarneyGrant:  "Good point regarding the players. Which is the trouble when anyone claims to be speaking on behalf of an entire group engaged in something that has nothing to do with the their purpose - in this case sport. Same with the international soccer team.

Much was made of David Hickey getting 16 former Dublin footballers to sign a letter. That's about 0.5% of players who have played football for Dublin since 1970s!

This has nothing to do with the issue. I think Israel have behaved horrifically in Palestine and that current war is unjustified and will edge us closer to some very dark times indeed.
