Some second half performance from Shels, thought they were in trouble at the break and it was going to be a poor day for them, let in some bad goals in the first half and the two in injury time were killers

Made a great start to the second half and then went a man down, LLG's fourth goal was a cracker to be fair and they had another few goal chances that went awry, Shels were doing good hurling but looked like they were going to come up short but they were terrific in the final 10 minutes, showed some amount of dog

Thought Aidan Cash and Delaney in the corner were terrific, Simon Donohoe very good too, Banville and Cian Doyle very good in the forwards as well, that's about as good as I've ever seen Doyle play, has good size and athleticism to him, needs to build on it now because he has a lot of potential

That was some game between Naas and kilcornack .
Sheks be up against it in semi final. Away too i think in tullamore . I missed today's game . Well done to shels they dug the result out by sound of it they have nt made any game easy on themselves but the keep winning or hard beat whichever way u see it . Beat of luck in the Semi final . Having a good impact with a stronger panel too . U need a bench and competition fir starting places that's for sure

Conceding 4 goals and scraping home by a point against a Westmeath side doesn't auger well for the rest of the leinster championship.
However shels will realise that a big improvement will be required next time out.
Every game is different so they will know that they will have to be at their best against the KKs.

Tbf, weaker counties can have very good club sides, Naas a good example of that, problem for these counties is they've a small number of clubs so one good club doesn't count for much at county level

Don't think LLG were supposed to be as good as previous Westmeath champions but they put it up to Shels, was always going to be hard for Shels considering they were a man down for about half an hour (And were three points down at that stage too)

Cian Doyle looked a great prospect at underage, hope he kicks on now. Hopefully they will have Eoghan Nolan back for the SF, hopefully Cian Doyle gets the start too.

Yeah, knew he had been involved with some under-age sides but can't say I ever saw him stand out for Shels until today, has the physical tools but needs to build on today

I know Shels had Donohoe, Hearne, and Banville with the county team this year, will be interesting to see whether anyone else is brought into the camp when they go back with Wexford
