I know I taught the same but its fine, I've got more top level county medals at underage and adult than any Taghmon man in history unless he transferred to another club. If I end up back in Wexford some day, I'll be back to my own club anyway and I'll get my coaching advice there from those who did it at the top level.

Im not sure this is correct. I suppose it depends on what you call recruitment. They dont give bonus points to your cao application. You have to get the required number of CAO points and meet the minimum requirements for that course to study in UL. It is a very attractive college to study in if you are an elite athlete. They have excellent facilities and coaches but you have to get in getting the same cao cao points forvyour course as everyone else. Other colleges offer up to 50 bonus points in the cao but not UL. Its popular because of its location, facilities, courses and success.

Fairly harsh on a man doing all he can to try improve our fortunes . Whilst you are out of the country there are many still here with a possible higher hurling pedigree than the above said man but dont give much or anything to the game after they retire. Whilst he loves and breathes it .
Loads lads out there will say sure I ve forgotten more than those coaches will ever know .
Still theres No point in them keeping it a secret go out and spread the word rather than be a negative .

Our most successful player in history won 3 AI Senior hurling winners medals after playing in 5 AI Senior hurling finals, a National League winners medal, Railway Cup and Oireachtas Cup winners medals, 3 club Senior Football winners medals, and Junior Football and Hurling winners medals when there was only Junior and Senior. All while he was playing with our club. His name was Jim Morrissey.
You must have some collection of medals.

Its an impressive place, although not always well run financially. Wasted taxpayers money on maintaining unused accommodation for the college president for many years before selling the property for a loss I think, and massively overspent on 30 new build student houses in Rhebogue, which cost more than double what the recommended cost of new build student accommodation should cost per bed, as laid out in the 2019 National Student Accommodation Strategy.

The following are there on hurling scholarships currently-
Colin Coughlan, Mark Fitzgerald, Adam English, Adam Screeney, Cathal O Neill, Darragh McCarthy, Jack Leahy, Killian Doyle, Jack O Neill, Oisin O Donoghue, Darach Fahy, Aidan O Connor, Sean Rynne, John Conneally, Diarmuid Stritch.
