Replying To Afinestick96:  "Underage results over the weekend looked positive overall am I right in saying Viking? Hopefully we are on the right track long term and with the new improved hurling plan being designed by Kinnerk and co we can continue to build."
Hope so too. Lot of work still needing to be done, a long road to walk still so to speak, but I think we are on the right road at least.

Replying To ElGranSenor:  "You get the feeling that we're not miles away and yet at the same time, we're a long way away. Ability levels aren't that far off but we just haven't made a breakthrough and for that reason, a mental block has developed and it's just kept on growing and growing, success at under-age level isn't the be all and end all, the most important thing is to produce players but we might need to win something at underage level to just break the mental block"
I agree with you we have a lot of players of a decent standard but we really need to make a breakthrough at u17 or u20 to really push things on I feel.

It's all unbelievably complicated. But then it's all about development at those agegroups.
