It's so good you had to mention it twice.

Hearing the Dubs preliminary football quarter final next weekend in Croker, will be a double header with the Dublin v Limerick All Ireland Hurling 1/4 final.

Excellent news - if this is the case...

If Dublin end up drawing Mayo/Donegal/Tyrone the GAA will surely cash in and keep hurling and football separate days!

Where did the term 'back door cut' suddenly pop out of? Haven't forwards been running in behind for years? Are there specific attributes to 'a backdoor cut' that are non negotiable, so that I can spot one ahead of the commentator/expert next time.

Add it to the other two most annoying GAA buzz phrases teak tough and clutch score.

Great game between Monaghan and Down. Super stuff from both teams.

A pity about Monaghan's 2nd goal. Umpires need to give the ref a dig out there.

If Donegal fail here to Mayo and come 3rd a double header with hurling would suffice.

I don't see a prelim game selling more than 40k and same with hurling.

Novelty factor would help boost crowd.

I thought 2nd place teams got home advantage.

Donegal keeper should have been booked for time wasting after the black card.

If that is the case if we draw Kerry in Killarney they should have it as a double header with Galway Tipp. Fair is fair and 40k in Fitzgerald stadium would be some occasion. We would bring a massive crowd down. Otherwise our senior hurlers and footballers no more than your own have to be on separate days if different venues. GAA shafted us in 2011 with hurlers in Limerick and footballers in Navan in knockout championship on the same day.

Let that be the end of Forevercrying from Caaaavan moaning about the championship. Donegal played to the end and put Forevercryings Caaaavan through.

Where you hear that?

Thought it would be double header with other quarter final. PUC mentioned?

Limerick won't mind. No advantage to us and they love playing there. Croke Park i mean.

Surely the hurling should be/will be played at a neutral ground?

I'm going to come out with a crazy question. Did Mayo equalise too early? Should they have waited until the hooter and made sure there was no chance of a Donegal winner? In this day and age with the hooter system and the certainty of knowing when full time is, maybe it's not so bonkers.

Now that would be a cracker of a double header in Killarney but you'd really want the hurling as the main event.

To watch a fast paced hurling match and then a slower paced football match after it would be tough going.

It would be packed to the rafters and the atmosphere would be electric around the town and at the match.

We played Cork in PUC last year. Tipp have been in Thurles for quarters.

Id imagine Limerick could refuse but they won't care and Dublin rarely play in CP and poor record.

I actually heard that it is a real possibility if kerry draw v Galway... a double header in Killarney

On a side note what is the story with CS on the Sunday Game live - can someone please explain the rules of the draw to her.... She kept going on about Dublin meeting Galway next week... like come on... is there no one better to get on RTE.??
