Replying To juan31:  "I never criticised this team on here but that was terrible stuff 7 points up so Donohoe and McDonald shouldn't be even on the panel"
It's where we are sorry.
We're just a very very average team.
Where was Rory o Connor today.
Mac won a few balls and just gave them away.
Cian Byrne and obviously Chin We're good but outside of that not 1 player is up to it

Replying To Yellowhelmet:  "In reality we should have been relegated last year. Start from scratch. And build over a few years. We blames davey, we blamed darragh Egan. Now new manager and still shocking.

People will say we are better than that. No. Reality check lads. Just not up to it.

As bad a day as we have ever had.

Some on here will defend the team. Come on lads.

Take chin out and we as poor as we have been since colm bonnars time.

Lack of heart and passion. It's obvious we don't have the talent.

But eh..the usual on here will slate me for calling this out.

Horrible gutless performance"
I agree it was a very very poor performance.
Most of the lads we have are overrated.
Just not up to it.
Our level now is Dublin Antrim and Carlow.
It's where we are and it's very disappointing

After two great wins in the minor this week, that was atrotious. A sloppy start up to the penalty, and yet again couldn't see it out after building a seven-point lead this time.

We are waaay too nice and far too predictable. Got cleaned out around the middle third, especially at the half-back line. Our full-back line didn't actually do too bad, and thought it strange they took off Murphy when Donohoe and Foley weren't at the races at all, and both were on yellows too.

Got away with the disallowed goal (no more a square ball than the two Limerick were awarded by the same officials last week), but our deficiences in defence were exposed for their two that counted. How the Antrim fella made the yards he did for the first goal without so much of a flick of the hurl or even a sacrificial yellow/black card was unforgivable. One of our players actually stood there with his hands on his hips after the Antrim lad cut through for the second goal as well. If you look at the top counties, every one of their centre-backs hold their position and drop back to protect when needed, we are far too porous. Jippo is a huge loss though in mitigation.

Chin was outstanding again (if a Munster player scored that goal, he'd already get an all-star), but we are way too predictable in constantly feeding him. Byrne was quality too and has to be a nailed-on starter now. The overall work-rate wasn't there up front at all though- compared to that moment towards the end when the Antrim forward fought like a divil to block down Fanning. Allowed Antrim time to move the ball and flight over excellent points under no real pressure.

It's so dishearteaning that the same problems seem to be there without been addressed, and realistically we probably need a 100% record here on out to extend our campaign. To put it into context, Antrim were the only team across the entire league to finish on zero points, and shipped 5-30 last week. We looked like the team low on confidence.

I'd be worried too if we don't end the year strong he might read the writing on the wall and finish up.

Rossiter was weak and indecisive - he looked rattled coming down the home stretch

Dunbar and K Foley gave away huge amount of ball as did O Donohue and D Reck. Sloppy hand passes and poor short passes led to turn overs

Well done to Chin and Cian Byrne on great displays

Conor Mac had the chances to have a big impact but seemed to want to hand off the responsibility

It was a very exciting match but once again anybody seems capable of beating us

I got slated here last week for saying we are a couple of players above Joe McDonagh level, now I know for sure we are 1 player above Joe McDonagh level.

Really poor performance from the majority of players.

Stood back and let Antrim hurl away in the second half.

Year is over unless we can get something from
All 3 remaining games.

I don't think many of those players recovered from that Tipp defeat. When pressure comes on we crumble, doesn't matter who the opposition is.

Take Chin out of that team and we're playing Joe McDonagh. Nothing shocks me following this team anymore.

I wouldn't buy in to that tbh… it's pretty obvious we take 'lower' opposition too lightly now and we just simply aren't good enough to do that.

But have you ever seen Simon Donohoe being taken off in a match even when he's performing poorly (which is quite regularly)? Some players just seem to be guaranteed to finish each game

To me its the 2 Westmeath games where we dropped points that have rattled the team.

At this stage we're a joke, a horror show and deserve whatever slagging we get. How bad would we be without Chin?

He was very poor again today. However 12 others who were just as poor.

After having an hour or so to reflect on the result it's getting worse.

On another note friendly place to visit. Stewards, staff and antrim supporters all very polite and friendly.

When will we get relistic... lads talking about our summer been over unless we get something out of the next 3 games? A dose of realism and focusing on not being relegated would be a wiser move.

If carlow beat dublin which is a very real prospect we would be one of the favourites to be relegated as I have carlow stronger than antrim..

Antrim have us on head to head and right now I can't see where we win any match. We can't defend high balls we have no presence in the half back line and lee chin has scored more than 70% of our championship scores this year.

A heavy dose of realism is need of where we actually sit as a hurling county

Fair play Antrim, Wexford just not capable of maintaining a lead. If we get relegated we can't have any complaints, bang average team with one exceptional hurler, only so long Lee Chin can keep carrying the team.

Huge disrespect shown to Carlow and Antrim by the media, all assuming Wexford or Dublin would be contesting 3rd place, Carlow beating Dublin at half time. I fear for Wexford playing away to Carlow.

Unfortunately my biggest fear has been realised, we were playing well against teams that hadn't trained hard for the league eg Waterford and gave us a false sense of security I suppose. We were cruising after half time up by 7, and iv said numerous times before as soon as they managed to get somewhat to grips with Chin that was the end of it. He's a one man team basically and got no support. We somehow allowed McNaughton to run straight through us twice and as soon as they smelt it our game was up. In fairness to them they played with there hearts but hard to know where to turn for this Wexford team. Cian Byrne justified his start in fairness to him aswell. We were very fortunate to get a penalty.

So you want to put it on one player? Sure that's a perfect excuse. Get over your bias and grow up
