Replying To Lockjaw:  "It's nothing new but one of the main issues I have with social media is people immediately hopping on their high horse, pitch-fork in hand, and slabbering on like some high-and-mighty moral authority, despite not knowing all of the facts.

Ask any judge - in any high profile case one of the first things he/she has to advise the jury is to avoid all social media commentary on the case, and to soley rely on what they hear given in evidence. Easier said than done I know but the point stands."
Couldn't agree more with everything you said there

Replying To Saynothing:  "I don't think you need be explaining yourself to anyone, it's your business how you got your ticket, GAA matches are open for all to go. Hate to see the time when we couldn't go to a Munster hurling final which everyone should do sometime."
Any Munster hurling game should be on sports peoples bucket list, usually great games and a great laugh after

You know you haven't won anything yet, right?"
I didn't say we won anything, in fact I said it would be a tight game, 50 posts compared to your 300 odd, me and my big mouth and lack of filter eh

Replying To DCFCGAA:  "2 words 'friend' and 'favour'

it happens the length and breath of the country. Have you been lucky enough to go to an all Ireland final? Any idea how many tickets are got as favours? I like to think helping people is one of the good virtues of our county and organization.

Pity you couldn't get one, maybe not enough favours are owed to you or you have few friends....who knows. Either way I am looking forward to a cracker game!"
Nonsense, an All Ireland final is totally different to a provincial final, you did wrong and you know you did wrong. You took a ticket from a derry club volunteer.

Calm down. It's not as though he snuck back up north in the dead of night and broke into someone's house to steal the bloody thing.

Replying To Lockjaw:  "I shouldn't react but being flippant towards Donegal people about their crumbling homes could also be construed as an anti-Gael type attitude. But maybe I shouldn't be altogether surpised at a lack of manners/class from some Armagh supporters."
Mica is no laughing matter. The sheer heartbreak and mental anguish for young families seeing their home crumble on top of them.

Looking forward to this final with so many fine players involved. Derry have a more defined game plan and great to see their seniors finally gel together and make the most of excellent club players and strong underage teams over the years. Always enjoy watching Armagh in action on big championship Sundays with their more direct traditional style and their huge colourful support.
I see RTE are showing it but am hoping to watch it on BBC NI .

I have no great love for either team or their bandwagon fans but I think I'd rather see Armagh beat them. It could easily turn into a boxing match again with Armagh involved though.
Tough day ahead for the ref, no matter what though you still gotta love Ulster football.

Same here I'd rather watch it on the BBC, doesn't say much for our national broadcaster that we are forced to subscribe too.
Tough to call bit I fancy Armagh to shade it.

It's ok, no need to upset yourself. Let's hope it's a good game of football and may the best team win.

The Armagh fans will always be there but it wouldn't take much for the Derry fans to disappear again.

I'm not upset. You're the one doing the ranting & raving. Have a lie down.

Well let's so how dedicated the Donegal fan base is if they go on a a Derry or Cavan trajectory and end up in the bottom division.

I remember going to the 2000 final when I was young and it had 33253 attendance. Noone died at it as far as a I know so I don't understand why they couldn't let even 31000 in. There is a new safety capacity of around 29000.

Replying To Tom1916:  "That's some elitist anti GAA attitude, you contribute nothing to any club in Ulster yet you get a ticket for the final but someone who plays and or volunteers all year misses out. You are the antithesis of the GAA. A disgrace."
You're kidding yourself if you believe that the top club volunteers didn't get tickets. The people in the committee definitely would.
Also I don't necessarily agree that all volunteers deserve tickets more than the average citizen. Take my club for example, the club never has players in the county team so what has it really contributed to the county success?
Yes maybe if you were Shane McGuigan's U12 coach you deserve a ticket but not every club produces talent like that.

In Tyrone, we'd be very fond of both counties, so may the best team win ;)

Manager or no manager, I'm looking forward to a tight match

There's some amount of idiots on this thread - some people need to seriously grow-up and take a good look at themselves as I'm sure they're not that nasty in real life, well, I'd hope so.
Good to see the the anti-Armagh sentiment still alive and well in a few Donegal posters who thankfully don't represent the majority of the fine gaels from that proud county.

Has the AG in Armagh not been full for the majority of league matches over the last couple of years? Armagh have probably the best travelling support in the country along with Mayo so not sure where the bandwagon comment from? Yes, proper Ulster tie, should be great game.

Agree with this armagh supporters give unbelievable support to the team even when not great. Think rollover from 00s era to be fair when Ulster medals were loose change to ye.
