Replying To CiarraiMick:  "Cork are a good team and always very hard to beat on PUC. Did brilliant aswell v Mayo in Limerick. Croke park will be a different test for them and hope the fans get behind them and travel in big numbers to follow them. Vocal support can be the difference in a tight game
Great to see the rebels back though!"
Will be confusing if Derry or Tyrone on same ticket. Lots of red and white!

Should the Mayo free in the 50th minute not have been on the 21 , Mayo man was fouled while kicking the ball and ball landed on the 21.

Why was Comer taken off?

Think injured but should have took off Shane Walsh, he hasn't been the same from his big money move to Dublin. Missed frees v Armagh and again today.

Best of luck to Mayo, better team today.
I would like to thank the Galway management and players for the massive
effort and commitment this year. We will return in '24.

You must be from the same club as the reff. Handed the game to mayo. Absolutely disgraceful display. Any die hard mayo fan picked out of the Stand would of been better. Shocking

I don't like having a go at the amateur players, but Walsh should not have been there in the second half. He missed 3 easy frees out of his hands. And also kicked bad wides. What is it about Galway and their shooting?

Explain so. If ye wanted to see shocking decisions ye should have watched Kildare v Monaghan.

Kerry can only play Tyrone or Monaghan as Cork and Mayo already played them in round robin. Kerry vs Tyrone would be a cracker, and probably a draw neither of them want!

No need to explain for anyone that seen the game. Didn't get to see the kildare v Monaghan game but did hear the official was horrendous

Louth fans! Just a bit of consolation for you maybe in the fact all 3 of the qualifiers from your group qualified for the last 8.Kerry Cork and Mayo. No other group had 3 qualifiers that got into quarter final so statistically Louth were in the strongest group.

I would disagree there.
He gave frees to Galway in the last ten minutes for nothing at all

That kind of criticism will be made of Shane when his standards dont reach the heights of last year but like other inter-county players who played in the club final this year he's been playing football non stop for about 18 months , apart from a 6 week break he took during the league. Thats a far more punishing schedule than full time professional soccer players endure. The club/county split season only works for intercounty players who are not successful at club level.

Totally right about players being amateur but no player is too big to be took off.
I see enough of it in club football where the BOYS get staying on week in week out yet not getting a kick.

Not even the Galway supporters are talking about ref. Good handle in Jampot.

I know this is the senior football thread but great to see Monaghan and Derry in the minor final - both teams have taken big scalps

We were seriously up against it between the injuries to Comer and Kelly, and the second half wind against us. That said, there are a couple of players there who are very error prone and regularly cough up possession/make awful decisions but are equally just as capable of doing good things too which tends to paper over the cracks. They were found out today unfortunately
