Tbh losing to mayo is a blessing. tyrone in omagh? il pass on that and then possibly draw kerry. Dont no definitively but has roscommon ever won in monaghan? Not that any roscommon man would admit it but this would of been the tie they where hoping to avoid. wide open field like clones and croke park suits this monaghan team.kelly, mohan, o hanlon, mc anespie will all be needed so fingers crossed we get a bit of luck with injuries. all the makings of a championship classic. A win for either team would be huge, with a bit of luck either team will go deep in this championship.

A tough draw for Monaghan in fairness. I would have rathered, Dublin, Meath, Kildare or Cavan again but least we avoided Kerry and Tyrone and we will avoid them again in next round if all three teams win in two weeks as the subseqent round will be winners of 2B playing losers of 2 A. Roscommon sytle of play does not suit the Monaghan defenisve setup. When teams run straight at us down through the center, we are vulnerable, as shown against Cavan and Derry but I think we shored it up well against Armagh. I think whoever wins in round 2B will really fancy their changes of reaching a quater final as likely opponents for Monaghan will be Louth, Cork or Westmeath (all good Div 2 teams). I fancy Tyrone to beat Mayo and I think repeat pairings are then avoided.

As for the big open spaces in clones the Hyde is a bigger playing surface I think so that won't be an issue. Looking forward to it should be a great game

A lot of people have tipped ye as dark horses to least make a semi final which isnt that far fetched based on form ye won connaught v impressively and think if you do win in clones you will be v dangerous heading to croke park got some great forwards with buckets of pace . You are 5/6 favourites for this game and 22/1 to win all ireland. For context we are 100/1. You should be winning this game on all known form and players available and yet and yet only a fool would write monaghan off in a championship knock out game in Clones.

Think both teams will give it their all.
