Heard Matthew Carolan (CMX) and Max McGinnity (Blayney) have been approached by AFL team Adelaide for their talents. It would be a horrible loss for the 20s. 2 giants of the squad stepping away in pursuit of the bag. Both lads played an epic part of there club campaigns respectively. Tough break for the 20s if so. We were going to go down anyway regardless of result today which was inevitable but why when we have a strong wind in first half does GB elect to keep Jack Mccarron one of our best shooters on the bench until 2nd half when we are against the wind. Its hardly going down swinging is it. God help us even if we do scape past a Cavan side who look in dire straits themselves we'd have a rejuvenated Derry side chomping at the bit to look forward to . Seeing a lot of posters on here talking about some of the junior clubs and even the intermediate I believe emyvale if they got their act together could go up again but with reports of setbacks with some of their key figures this may not be achievable but yet again with the addition of 3 teams going up in junior and intermediate this may still be achievable an it's an achievement to be proud of for them with a rough couple of years. Standards within the county set up are at an all time low. I recently seen a club post a picture of a player get off the team bus and into the game with a club bag. How is this allowed ? This wouldn't be tolerated by Jimmy or Mc Geeney. No respect shown and the audacity of the club to post it online.
