Replying To Gaawestmeath:  "Incredible win by CBS! They just never give up or panic. Players have full faith in the plan and it worked yet again. The whole team was immense but the way Scahill stepped into those two pointers was something else. You could write something about every starter and sub who came on. Brilliant to see and they are one game away from an all Ireland medal. Well done to management and the school aswell."
Watching it , you just never felt like he would miss them either. He's just so assured.
O'Rourke is an unreal talent, and wouldn't be surprised to see him play senior for Armagh this year.
One thing very striking watching Mullingar play is how good all of the backs are on the ball. They all look like they could play centre forward if you asked them to.

Wally and mattie Whittaker both came off injured last night. Wally looked like hamstring. Mattie took a dangerous high hit in the first half and never really recover. He looked in severe discomfort. Laois were really aggressive but deserved to win last night. They won all the key duels and could have scored more goals. Our biggest problem was a lack of pocession. The next 2 games will be tough with all the injuries mounting now but are winnable.

Our star players haven't really turned up since the O Byrne Cup Final. When you see Louth and Meath performances yesterday it feels the gap is widening.

Away to Laois was always going to be a tough game but by god did we have to make it so easy for them? Our midfield was totally non existant totally outplayed and we were second to every ball all over the park.Injuries to Wallace and Whittaker is not good but at least we have 2 weeks for them to recover.Ormsby has to start against Limerick-young player but excellant fielder of the ball and strong in the tackle-exactlly what we are lacking.Still in our hands but need a big effort against Limerick

We have only one star player. Luke loughlin tried his heart out yesterday evenjng . He scored 1 6 out of 1 13. Please inform me who else you think is a star player. Laois were more up for the game and were highly motivated. We expected the wind to help us . But we were totally flat

I think Ronan Wallace and Sam McCartan are also star players who wouldn't look out of place in any setup but their form hasn't been where we need it. McCartan not long back from injury, Wallace, as captain should be leading.

Total incompetence shown by the county board this morning. Division 3 league match due to take place between St Marys and The Downs this morning had to be called off due to no referee turning up. Both teams were out on the pitch ready to go waiting over 20 minutes only to be informed that the ref scheduled for the game had informed the county board days ago that he could not referee the fixture and no replacement referee was organised. Completely unfair on players and management who will now have to squeeze this fixture in later down the line, on top of games missed last weekend due to the weather.

And on what do you base that

Both have shown up for Westmeath on numerous occasions in fairness. Luke hasn't been as good this season either by his lofty standards, he was poor against Sligo and Clare. He only started scoring last week when the game was over. Mccartan and Wallace haven't been great by both of their standards. We have no midfield though yesterday showed how crucial Lynam is

Performance levels at the times I've seen them. They are our star players, every team has them relative to their level. For me Westmeaths star players are Loughlin, Wallace and McCartan. A division 4 team will have their own star players that doesn't mean they are the best in the country but relative to that level. Are you curious or disagreeing?
