Not so sure players should be getting involved in political protests (if this is the correct word to use in this case) at games tbh.

This could open a right can of worms....

Whether people believe in it or not - I dont think players should be getting involved imo.

What's happening in the world today sees stark injustice growing by the second. Its a small gesture against that, but that's all it is going to be, a simple gesture by a small group of amateur sportsmen, which they are entitled to do. They own their own values/image and they are not obliged to stand in front of any sort of branding.
I agree that politics and sport should probably not mix, sports (especially amateur sports ) should be about escapism from the daily horrific news.
I respect their gesture but I'd be more hoping to see them defend better as a unit, and then try to take advantage of the new rules while getting more 2 pointers on the scoreboard.

They are entitled to their opinion - and I would agree that what is happening in Gaza is horrific - but they have no business dragging Dublin GAA into this.

The place to address the connection with Allianz is through county convention and Congress. Can't see it as other than a distraction and harmful to team unity. I hardly think every single person associated with the two squads agrees with this.

And there's plenty of reasons why they might look at some other sponsors, if they are intent on riding the high horse.

Yes you're right these amateur players should just play and keep their mouths shut and after the game when they are asked to stand beside the allianz logo they should just say yes sir, yes sir, 3 bags full sir, and do you want me to thank allianz in the interview sir.
There is no obligation, absolutely none, on any player to allow his image/interview to be used to promote Allianz.
