Replying To jobber:  "Rumours of an Eddie Brennan and Adrian Clancy involvement with county. Anyone know anything?"
As per Midlands Radio 3:
Kevin O'Brien has confirmed his backroom for 2027.
Adrian Clancy of St Rynagh's Offaly
Rory Fleming ex Kildare
Kevin O'Brien Tullamore
Eddie Brennan
So everyone from last year in terms of coach / selectors are gone.
No mention of Ollie Baker who was Performance Coach last year.
2 S&C coaches to be added.

Great to get Eddie Brennan, what will his role be? It would be great if had some involvement with Noel Conaty's u20s as well, there should be some crossover and link between the set ups as I think there is plenty of the u20s more than capable of stepping up to the senior panel in the coming year, judging off the club championship. Kian Loughlin, Padraig Casey, Sean Hayes, Ryan Williams, Cormac McKeogh and Dylan Corrigan had good championships.

The lad from Tullamore is the lead S&C coach. He makes players get faster. I done the 7 day trial with him and I wear a saddle now.

It's an absolute disgrace what's going on with hurling in Westmeath. Another poster said it, the football managements have the wheels in motion the last 3/4 weeks. Hurlers are opting out of u17s,20s and senior because football is on top and hurling is getting no help. It's going to be hard going through a transition, especially with football going so well but the county board are not helping. We're being set back years at this rate.

Another reason is the make up of the county board, 20+ members and only 4 or 5 from hurling clubs. Until more people from hurling clubs run for positions at convention we'll always be on the back foot.
Would be great if Eddie Brennan did some work with u-20s and minors (they probably won't know who he is though).

Good management, a huge push on S&C it seems as they know its a young panel..... but at the end of day without the older more experienced lads we could be seeing a lot of immediate senior b and 20s players on the panel.
Brennan will have a big task of convincing the clubs and players to get them back in
