Good 2nd half in the park last night where LLG could have snuck a draw or even a win. Very poor 1st half from LLG. Castletown done must of the hurling but goals brought the Gaels back. I'd like to see the adjudicated square ball on Tommy Doyle back on iarmhi tv, looked outside the square from me and I was pretty close to it in the stand
I feel that Castletown have a couple of extra gears, David o Reilly excellent again

Ctg a 5-6 pt the better team on the day I feel they just couldn't deal with the high ball into jogger in the 2nd half which lead to the goals that kept them in the game. It didn't look a square ball to me either.

Missed our game as late coming from Dublin but got to second half of clonkill v Pollard in kinnegad. Missed the sending off but from accounts it was a purely accidental tackle but did make contact with the head warranting a red card, as for the game clonkill looked totally comfortable even being with 14 men for almost the whole match. darragh McCormack and Brian gaffney marking one another stood out a brilliant display of strength and ability shown by both players, Robbie Cleary outstanding for clonkill picking of points at will. Luke Loughlin for me was very poor. Clonkill will need him firing as he is clearly a special talent. Niall Mitchell showing glimpses of past form and could prove vital for clonkill in the coming rounds. Castlepollard for me will have to fight hard against daltons to remain senior. Very tough task for them to be missing such key vital players to remain senior. Joe rabbit stood up but didn't have any help except with McCormick. Would love to hear more reports on Cusack park from what I'm told was a very good game. Raharney result as expected no shocks there.

Good win for Delvin in first game here in Cusack. Missing Darragh Clinton and Paddy Farrington through suspension so great start. Cullion too reliant on both Regans. Could struggle

Joggers definitely was not a square ball. Llg have the fight in them again though and will make the knockouts.

Ctg will need to find someone to handle jogger if they meet again.

Kelly was long way behind. I think Johnny should been not him earlier but seemed bit off but I still thought castletown even if gaels could snuck a win or draw were the better team overall all things considered but the gaels never gave up and doyal was immense

Looks like the CB will have a very hectic off-season. The main sponsor is moving on, and very likely that our big ball brothers will need a new manager too. McCabe would never turn down his own county if he got the nod.

With any luck, Writech are already signed up in the background and is just giving Renault space to make their announcement. I hope this is a formality; otherwise, trying to negotiate a new commercial partner from scratch is going to prove a headache and a half. Then you'd hope that there's no shortfall from no longer having a sleeve sponsor.

Anything stirring on the senior manager front?

Not a word all very quiet. With McCabe sailing off into the sunset they better start moving.2nd round of championships coming up the choice needs to be made in next 2 weeks if new man is going to see what's out there especially if he's from outside the county.

Two weeks to get an inter county manager? Come on. Clubs spend 8-10 weeks trying to get one. It's a difficult job to get one. Westmeath spoke to 30 potential managers before they got McCabe.

If they are on the job why not?
I am sure every prospective candidate has been spoken to by 1 of the committee picked by the clubs. Its hardly rocket science.
Are you interested? Bring your proposal,Let's meet and and discuss it.
No reason why that can't be done in a month before the 3rd round of fixtures.Anyway let's see what happens.

Bulfin stood down over 7 weeks ago, the selection committee was appointed soon after, they have had 4-5 weeks to draw up a list, having a manager in place for round 3 is achievable, for positive thinking people that is.
