Not sure sickening summarises for me
First half we were useless
Great response in second half
Really entertaining game ..
Yes we lost but we get a second go.
Hopefully Brambrick,Hulton and and Ruth will see some Talteann cup action.
Downside for me was flat second half and conceding 6 goals

Agree sickening to lose it the way we did but how poor were we in the first half?? We had posters on here after the Wicklow game saying the result didn't matter as it was all about the Tailteann Cup, well by jesus what was served up in that first half was atrocious.
All through the game the silly mistakes were unbelievable. Players giving away frees for double bounce, dropping the ball when under no pressure, giving up simple possession which led to their goal in extra time.... it was terrible
Now the 2nd half was much improved & they showed some fight to get back into the game & we actually went ahead near the end. However you can't expect to win when you concede 6 goals, it was like a hurling score. They cut through us so easily & they are in Div 4. Imagine what a Down or Cavan would do.
Finally all through the league I highlighted how poor we are at taking goal chances & happened again today. In the 2nd half one player had 2 chances to score a goal in the one move & missed both. Hopefully we get a few bodies back as we were missing 5 starters which is a big blow. Hoping for a home draw tomorrow or the season could be over already

Sickening in that manner to lose it and our defense was walked through at times. It's slightly infuriating to watch how it happens at times and a big worry in the division 3 next year. Also people weren't saying it was all about the TC, priority was always promotion in the league and the Leinster match was a slight free hit given how close it was to the league final.

Hopefully we have bambrick, Ruth and others back but bambrick had a cast on so hopefully he will see time on the pitch. As good as Conor Doyle was he still looked slightly lethargic as if he had a niggle.

Anyway onto the draw. Couple of banana skins in there. Go away for two weeks and regroup.

You should apply to be manager next year! Seem to know absolutely everything about football and how it should be played

Problem being that none of those missing will strengthen our defence, all attacking players. Heard we shipped a heavy beating against Wexford in challange game last week so management not learning much from game to game. Hopefully the manager can bury his pride and get an outside defensive coach onboard to compete in division 3 . Plenty of coaches good at positivity and back slapping, but a bit late with that when ball is in the net.
Also think we'd be better with an away draw as out of our last 4 home Games, all Against division 4 teams btw, we've only beaten Leitrim who felt they were flat on the day, so a trip on the road mightn't be worse thing!

His groundbreaking advice was that we should score more goals and concede less, I wish Joe would've thought of that then we could've won today.

Whatever about the TC, that sort of performance won't see us thru Div 3 next season where week on week we will be exposed to superior competition. I noted there was a bit more use of the bench today … helps keep lads interested given the commitment involved
