This weekend's 2025 Adult Football League final winners
- Div.1 Tuam Stars GAA Club
- Div.2 Cumann Peile Mhaigh Cuilinn
- Div.3A Dunmore MacHales GAA
- Div.3B St.Brendan's GAA
- Div.4A Kilkerrin/Clonberne GAA Club
- Div.4B Claregalway GAA and LGFA
Tuam won the league against a weakened Corofin team, still not convinced they are a top 4 team, in reality they have been the least effected by the county panel. Have Moycullen been sneaking under the radar of late? An almost flawless league campaign, some big scores with the only blemish a draw against a very on form litir mor outfit. With Cooke and S Kelly both to come back in I would put right up there as genuine contenders. Back to back promotions for Dunmore, 9 wins on the bounce for Alan Glynns men, Matthew Reddington back from Oz after 2 years and obsolutely flying i hear, nobody will take them for granted.

Great to see the progression of a relatively young Dunmore team. Tuam too should also be able to improve for the championship. As a county this club competition augurs well for our inter county prospects in the next few years. Corofin still the gold standard imho.

I'm informed that the Div 2 final was contested by what were really shadow teams, Naomh Anna were missing 4 or 5 starters due to being abroad and injury and Maighcuilinn were shot at least 8 of the players who contested last years county final so there isn't much to be gleaned from Saturday's result.

Replying To endgame: "Huge chance missed by Galway in last year's All Ireland final. That Armagh team are very ordinary as Kerry showed last Sunday. Might be a long time until Galway get as good a chance again." Galway were not good enough. The better team on the day won. I don't buy this ordinary team ****. I hear the same about Tyrone in 2021. Ordinary teams don't win all Ireland titles. In fact ordinary or average teams don't even make semi finals or finals.

Moycullen have put on some huge scores and winning margins in winning division 2 and this has been without many players Kelly & Cooke. They will be there or thereabouts for Frank Fox have lost last 2 finals but the appointment of Currid is eye watering too. My top three is Corofin moycullen & Salthill. Has Sice officially retired? What a warrior and servant he has been for Corofin

If the talk around Pearse Stadium over the weekend is to be believed, quite a few of the Galway footballers have headed off to play in America for the summer. Madness, really. No time for the body to recover. They'll pay for it next season - burned out and broken down. It happens every time. You'd think they'd learn. Seán Kelly definitely won't last past thirty at this rate. He's going from championship , to playing in Amercia, to clubs and back into next year exhausted, stiff and wondering why he's not lifting Sam.

They were exhausted from all the matches and was some poor subbing desicions made. They need all make sure their injury free for next years championship if they want to get into an All Ireland final again. The amount of Galway injuries are a total joke to all the other counties. They don't take it seriously and wonder then why so many players are out.

Standard is low, plenty of drinking and a good time plus a few euro. No one stopping them in the street like at home to give their tuppence worth about why they lost to Meath

They can do whatever they want, all of them deserve to chill out and take a drink. Training and competition put immense strain on muscles, joints, tendons, and the nervous system. Without proper recovery, the body doesn't get the time it needs to repair-leading to chronic fatigue, overtraining syndrome, and higher risk of injury. So it's a vicious cycle for Galway injuries and for all of them who are hungry to win while it's their short window.

It's tough on the clubs though, especially if it's a smaller club with maybe 1 co player, u might have him back from states for a relagation game, win that and that's his season done, all year with co, then playing 4 or 5 games in states and 1 or 2 games for the club in a season. They can do whatever they like though as it's an amateur game.
