Replying To katser:  "Fair play to those 5 Clubs for winning the Junior A, but Sylane, An Spidéal and Annaghdown are stuck in Premier Junior scratching their backside for the long foreseeable future. When Skehana M/M and Ballygar meet the big guns from Senior B next year it will be different ball game!
Off the top of my head if these 4 teams are kept separate in the new 4 team Intermediate groups I'd expect Skehana M/M,Ballygar, Rahoon-Newcastle and Killimor to be in a relegation dogfight!"
Who are these so called "Big Guns" from Senior B? You're giving out about the new Premier junior and Reeves Cup when Senior B was the biggest cod of a competition of them all..... Just so the so called "traditional teams" could keep their Senior Status.

Replying To katser:  "It looks like We are going to have a situation where if your Clubs 2nd team wins the Reeves Cup they have reached their celling and can't get promoted or go upto the next level!
Whereby a team in the Premier Junior could lose all their group games Every Year and not get Relegated!
Reeves Cup winner should get promoted to Premier Junior and whoever finishes bottom in Premier Junior....Down you go to Reeves Cup and earn your credibility and worth to get back up."
I've a novel solution for these second teams looking to move up the grades, enter a football team. They can have two senior teams then if they like.

Alot of those Senior teams earned that status the hard way by winning the Intermediate.
It wasn't their fault that the Hurling Board increased the number of Senior teams to 24.
Remember when there was no relegation from Senior for a few years and the two Intermediate teams were promoted.
We now have a situation where good hard working Clubs who won Intermediate the hard way and were not relegated from Senior have lost their Senior status because the Hurling Board cocked it up by increased the number of Senior teams.
My heart goes out to those wonderful traditional Clubs who have soldiered through thick and thin for Galway hurling down through the years.

Would you stop loads of teams have soldiered on for plenty of years in intermediate and junior. There are 8 intermediate teams that have also been affected. You are more worried about second teams from stronger clubs.

Katser won't like that suggestion. I'd say he has predicted Moycullen to lose every game in the last 6 years.

You're giving out about our lack of success at Junior All-Ireland level, when the main reason for it has been the fact that we've had 24 senior teams. But you then want them to retain that number.
The previous hurling board cocked up by letting it become so bloated, and the current one is fixing the issue. We'll have a much better structure next year, and those teams who were Senior B this year should be relishing a crack at the Intermediate championship. They might even have a shot at going further in the All-Ireland series as well, now that they'll be our 17th best team instead of the 25th.
