Former Dublin star Jason Sherlock is set to stay as part of Dessie Dolan’s backroom team for another season.

Dolan was ratified to a second season in charge of the Westmeath senior footballers in October, with his backroom team yet to be confirmed and Sherlock’s return for another season seemingly in some doubt.

However, a report from WestmeathIndependent.ie this morning (Friday) confirmed that the 1995 All-Ireland winner will be part of the set-up again next season, as well as John Keane and Cathal Mullin with Mick Dillon (Milltown) also on board for the forthcoming season.

Meanwhile, the 2024 campaign is set to see Dolan without the services of influential midfielder Sam Duncan, who has confirmed that he is taking a year out to travel.
