Ya would be handy for me been in Ash!

The pitches in Ash are actually closed for a few weeks. All training is been done indoors at present.

How is the pitch in Simonstown?

It is almost 3 week before the play in the final so there should be no problem. Part of the problem with club football is that county players will not be released 3 or in some cases 4 weeks before a championship match.

On a separate issue - I saw 2 Tweets on my timeline earlier, one beneath the other. One was from Meath GAA asking people to come out and support the team tonight. The next was from local journo saying that no team was being released ahead of the game tonight.

Once again I find myself wondering why on earth can they not release a team for an O'Byrne Cup game? Would it not help drum up a bit of interest among fans if they see the names of a few prospects on the starting 15? I'm not saying it's gonna draw in an extra few thousand, but I really struggle to see the logic of not releasing a team for people to have a look through. God knows we need all the support we can get but I always feel they CB/PRO (or whoever) does all they can to drive a wedge between the team and the fans.

Some of the new lads won't know they are on the team till the last minute.

Cannot understand why team is not released a couple of days before a match, be it O Byrne cup or championship, what team has ever won a match due to this.

Some of the new lads won't know they are on the team till the last minute. >> if this is the reason, and it seems to be the only plausible explanation, then it's pretty worrying. I can only assume the logic is to protect them? If lads can't handle the 'pressure' of being named on an O'Byrne Cup team then God help them come league or championship. Part of making a player is seeing how he deals with these situations.

Lads chill out. What difference does it make if team is named or not.
Let the manager do his job and stop nit picking
He obviously has his reasons and that's fine by me.

Final score a 2-7 to 0-11 defeat. Disappointing to lose two goals.

Conceded 2 goals against a team of students and lost. I see nothing good on the horizon for this team. Who is going to stand out in the absence of Stephen Bray?

Well that was a waste of petrol, ok its a very experimental side, but the same mistakes are there time and again , lacks defending, not taking chances, not looking up for a player in better position just driving through.
I'm going for a snack box as haven't had time for dinner. I'm getting too old for this :(.
