I agree with your post regarding Lenihan(and I'm not a Dunboyne man),also agree with your team.I said it before I would play Graham Reilly as the 4th half forward so to speak, nad he wouldn't need to track back as much.I agree with Newman and Lenihan inside.Reilly,O'Sullivan and Wallace could cause problems running off or beyond them at different stages.

Not a bad looking team Dunboynelad. A few natural forwards in there. I've seen a fair bit of DL and agree he looks the real deal. Was disappointed he didn't get more of a run last year but hopefully this year he will nail down a place.

As a complete aside, always amuses me how many people still (including national media) think it's Kevin O'Reilly. He only played with us for 10 years like!

Well I think if we had everyone fit, wouldn't it be great with 20mins to go to bring the likes of McMahon and McEntee on?

Its great to have options but Mcentee is a certainty to be in the first 15.

Mcmahon deserves to be in the first 15 too. Maybe Eamonn Wallace is the player to miss out from Dunboynellads team. Would Lenihan be a good 14 to play off McMahon... Then again McMahon and Wallace almost destroyed Westmeath on their own last summer.

As you said options

BTW that's not a bad team he picked.

Unfortunately Burke can't be in CB v the dubs if we beat Carlow/Louth. Mannion had him on toast in '13 and will be back in '16. The likes of Costello or Andrews or McManammon would do him for speed and god knows who else they'd unearth. A solid squad man for sure but not close to first 15 if Meath are to progress. FB line of Keoghan on Brogan, McGill at FB and one other probably Tobin is more likely

1 wouldn't go with paddy , been there done that, he costs us at least 3 points per game, add his attitude and he could cost a 14 man team

I see daire Rowe scored 8 against Westmeath. Was anybody at the game?

It's only O'Byrne cup but I can't wait for this one today. Winning becomes a habit and a major positive from the Laois game is the fact that we won it. If we lost we wouldn't be in the position we are today. I accept that playing styles etc are important but lets get to a final and bring some enthusiasm and pride back to the county

Agree johnjoe. But along with a win today I want to see something that gives me hope for the year ahead, the last 5 minute last weekend was just that, now lets see it for full 70.
Hon the Royal.

O'Byrne cup not worth much to us only benefit would be preventing Dublin winning it thus they couldn't complete the clean sweep of titles 2 years in a row!

Should be out of sight, some good individual performance, but team and particularly finishing looks disjointed. Still expect to win.
Anyways that's my half time 2 cents

Couldn't make the match today but sounded tasty enough on the wireless, plenty of wides which is a concern as not taking chances was one of the big rocks we perished on last year, shooting practice needed but nice to get to the final against unexpected opposition in Longford, fair play to them beating the Dubs

Well called bert. Looking forward to a final in Navan v Longford. Should be a tough game that will stand to us when we play Armagh. LMFM as usual bigging up the significance of the local derby today. Imagine if it was a Meath v Louth all-ire final.
