Replying To Sheridan2010louth:  "100% he could if the selectors are watching him. He's had an outstanding championship, particularly the Oldcastle game and yesterday against Walterstown where i thought he was the best player on the pitch. Hope he gets another chance with Meath."
Wasn't he involved with Meath a few years ago, under Andy McEntee and Colm? That being said, we could use some more backs. Evan Quinn from Ashbourne also is looking good.

Yes and he never let Andy mc down, don't think he was ever involved under O'rourke.

What do ye make of these proposed rule changes from Kevin McStay and co. I think they should just leave it to be honest. Four point goal? Banning fisted points? We've just had an extraordinarily good year of G.A.A. can we not just relax for a while and not fix something that isn't even broken?

There is nothing won yet for the tones.
I do love your confidence although I wouldn't be writing of Ashbourne at home in the final.

Expect that majority of intercounty camps are back in full swing with collective training especially strength and conditioning and that includes Meath. Wondering if there is any news yet on that front and if new personnel have been invited in to take part. Could be an interesting few months for Meath in advance of 2027 campaign.

I've heard that some members of the team are training with their colleges, but that the inter county training isn't starting until next month.

I would expect players to be on individual programmes plus Jones got injured in some sort of training. He can't seem.to catch a break. Almost always seems to get back to fitness and a reoccurance happens. Something has to be figured out there. I think within the next couple of weeks collective training will be full blown and we will hear more then. Expect nearly everyone from last years squad to return.

Official collective inter-county training for Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) teams is set by central council guidelines, with the recent return date for the season established as November 21. To get around this, you can set up trials.

Is it true that Ronan jones is playing the regionals this year. Be a nice way to get back to fitness. I believe new goalkeepers Devon burns and Sean McNulty are also in the mix

I'm obviously well aware of how good Devon burns is from ratoath I haven't heard of McNulty. Is he playing senior football ? The amount of good Keepers in Meath now will definitely stand to us.

U20 keeper. Think he played underage with Ireland. Burns definitely the best keeper in the county in my opinion, not sure if he's committing to Meath however. Sean McNulty may be next best thing

Think muddiman deserved a shout. Between the 3 lads, muddiman, burns and Mcnulty the Meath goal is in safe hands.

I'd have Sean Brennan, Billy Hogan, Sean Muddiman and Finn Moore all ahead of Devon Burns.

Absolutely 100%. He's a good goalkeeper but that's it. Not better than what we currently have and also he's not a Meath man. If he was good enough he would be playing with Kerry. No connection whatsoever to Ratoath or Meath, so not something I would be pursuing.

Agree here. Okay he is a decent goalkeeper but doesn't appear to have done anything to indicate he would overly improve our situation there. Brennan and Hogan are two solid keepers with decent intercounty experience already. Don't see a change here for the time being.

Anyone else a bit nervous or apprehensive about some of our lads and college football. 100% understand they have to play and you wouldn't begrudge them, just hope they come out the other side fit and healthy and we don't lose any more personnel than we already have.

Lads playing college football won't really have a choice but to play, most of them are on scholarships and if available will have to prioritize with the college before club and county.

Yeah I know, wouldn't begrudge them either, some of the best days of their lives will be with their colleges. Just hope it won't affected them further in the season. Hear O'Halloran and Rafferty are both back with DCU and a couple more doing masters. Hope that it won't affect us much
