You can't be serious?? And you call it a master stroke?

What are Donegal's chinks ?"
As I said I think the chinks, Are a Louth team that struggled to perform (thats been nice) put it up to Donegal for 35mins in Ballyboffey. As it was a draw game at half time or point in it. Also Mongahan were 7 pints up at half time against Donegal I would think we at the same level or even better maybe than Monghan. I think we can live with Donegal for longer putting us in the frame towards the end of the game.

Also we did a good job on top players ie David Clifford, Cormac Costello Shane Walsh. So there is no reason why we cant come up with plan to curtail Micheal Murphy, and Lagan to hopefully

As Meath go on they are getting more and more experience and growing in confidence. The QF Galway game I think there a little bit of pressure on Meath to win.As getting knocked up in Croke Park would have meant 2 losses in Croke park, And everyone would have said we got lucky against Dublin and Kerry, Also people were writing them off. I think they were out to prove a point.

Semi I think it more of shot to nothing now. Maybe pressure is off a little now. And we can perform. I dont think we played brilliant against Galway. I think we play better. An amazing win but we can play better.

Talent coming out of their ****. We are good, but so are they and unlike Meath they have a bag of medals and have been here before. Let's calm the jets."
100% Donegal should be favourites, everyone I talk to knows that, they have proven themselves too often in recent years for things to be otherwise.

But I'm surprised the bookies have Donegal at 2/7 (=78% chance of winning).
Meath, after beating 3 division 1 teams already in championship 2025 surely are more of a threat on Sunday than the bookies are saying?.

Anyway looking forward to Sunday, it's great to be back at the business end of the championship.

Does anyone know what happened to him? he was a serious impact player in the old rules, i would think he would be even better in the new rules with space to run. some serious wheels coming off the bench when lads are tired.

I hope the improvement in meath and a hungry fresh manager can limit the drifting in an out of panels. if they keep lads keen and hungry for a couple of years, they can make real improvement. that is the difference for galway, armagh for example they have kept the same squads and then added some new talents when they emerged.

Does anyone have any info on the squad health, how are we looking for sunday?

Jones, Flynn and Conlon all had surgery so gone for the season. Think Jack Flynn will miss the club championship too. But other than that clean bill of health at this stage.

Not sure what happened Jack O'Connor. Playing intercounty football is a serious workload, might have just taken a step back. But would expect someone like him to thrive under the new rules.

Reports we're wearing our light yellow jersey and Donegal wearing their white jersey? Any one know makes these ridiculous decisions? We wore navy against Kerry why not this time? 80,000 in Croke Park on Sunday and they won't even be able to make out who is who. Never mind probable blunders from both teams. In the NFL the rule of one team always wearing white seems like common sense that is never applied in the GAA. So many games ruined as a spectacle due to really silly decisions from admin. Derry-Armagh couple years ago comes to mind.

There should be no need for a colour change from either team.
We have a mainly Green jersey, they have a mainly Gold jersey.

Off the Ball were saying that Meath were pushing for the navy jersey but were told they had to wear the yellow one.

Just don't see how that makes sense. One team wears a light coloured jersey and one team wears a dark coloured jersey, very simple. Donegal have a white jersey and we have a navy jersey, that's what the teams should wear. Not sure why this is even a conversation. Would love to hear the GAA's rationale on this. They might as well wear their home jerseys as there's more of a colour clash with the change to yellow for us.

It's not gone back to the other way according to Fergal Lynch..

Meath will wear green and Donegal will wear their home yellow kit. Gonna be a clash of kits, makes sense for one team to wear a different colour.

Am I the only one who finds it strange seeing Meath play in a blue jersey ?.

Same as seeing Armagh play in black recently looked wrong as no connection to their main colours (or provincial colours) seemed strange.

Seems un-GAA like to just have a second kit which regularly changes colours just to try to make money on jersey sales.

Seen this, so they're making a change but not the right change? We just wear the navy and Donegal can wear yellow, white or pink for all we care, at least it'd be a light and dark contrast. Whatever is common sense, the GAA seem to do the opposite. Mind boggling.

That Armagh Derry game was farcical....i turned it off as I couldn't concentrate...similar story when monaghan plays kildare. dark green vrs dark blue - very difficult to distinguish between at times.

best of luck this weekend meath. i love the optimism on this forum...from what i seen in our clash vrs donegal yous have your work cut out but confidence is a big thing and you've nothing to lose imo.

On another note, I hear outside Harcourt Hotel in Dublin is a good spot on a Saturday night to play music outside and let off fireworks until the early morning. Just in case someone out there felt like helping out.

Over on the Donegal page there already talking about all ireland final tickets, how much they cost and how much each of their clubs will get, They clearly dont see us as a threat and are looking past us just likeDublin Kerry and Galway did, In the 1996 semi final a young Meath team came to Croke Park as massive underdogs against Tyrone and we destroyed them, there's allot of similarities between today's team and that one and like that one let's destroy this Donegal team, Meath havnt put in a 70 minute performance yet let's hope we do it Sunday because if we do it be Meath by 5 plus, COME ON THE ROYALS.
