Congrats to louth, I thought they were unbelievably good, can see them beating Mayo in the semi. Meath looked a bit leggy today, not making excuses but the format of this competition did them no favours, they can be really proud of their campaign, a lot of seriously talented players coming through. Murphy and Stafford straight to the seniors I'd imagine.

No excuses tonight, Louth were exceptional and deserved this victory, exciting game played in the best of spirits in an excellent venue , Meath struggled with the 2 pointer attempts tonight, which was a trademark of their attacking play, anyway it's been a pleasure supporting them, and best of luck to this group of lads going forward. Minors on Thursday in navan then the big one Sunday week, Keep the faith

Tough loss but Louth have a very a good team, thought the no.10 for them was a touch of class. We kicked a lot of wides from 2 point range. Would any of these lads be brought into the senior panel for rest of the summer? Maybe won't make panel for games but would add to competitiveness. Jamie Murphy looks built for senior already.

I was very impressed with Louth too, worthy winners on the night, they have to be applauded for the progress they have made at underage in a small period of time. Good campaign for Meath, tonight wasn't their best night and even though they were outplayed, a little bit more composure in the 2nd half instead of forcing the 2 pointers, then maybe they might have got back in to it. Ultimately the unavailability of Commins and Mc Weeney in attack was critical, 2 future senior players. The key thing is to keep COB and his management team on board, it's been a wonderful couple of years that can only bode well for the future.

Massive congratulations to louth tonight I thought they were absolutely excellent! Yes Meath definitely had their chances to bring it back and maybe even snatch it but louth deserved it particularly in the second half Murphy had a few shots just miss left of the post on a numerous occasions and everything Louth kicked seemed to go over the bar. That's the difference in football! Anyway a massive congratulations to the team on a hugely successful campaign. This group of players were not highly rated as a group but they showed that under a good proper management they have the ability to match anyone. Cathal and his team have done unbelievable work the last 2 years at this grade. The question 18 months ago was how can we beat dublin at this grade and how are they so far ahead at U20/21. 2 leinster finals in a row at this grade (winning 1) too is outstanding. We've set a standard now along with louth that there's more than just dublin in this leinster grade. Commiserations to all but a job well done!

Impressive win by Louth in fairness.
Much the better team.

Remarkable that 10 of their starting 15 are eligible for next years u20's also.

There are players from both teams who will soon make the step up to the county senior setups.

Disappointing result, and Louth clearly wanted it more, and we just weren't at it. Hopefully it's not a sign of things to come because we know Louth will be gunning for us Sunday week.

Very sloppy at times, and the defence was cut open too often. James Maguire really impressed me in midfield for Louth, looks a future star.

But all in all, can have no complaints, we were bullied by a better team and they deserved to win.

But a few good prospects on that u20 team that hopefully will transition through. Jamie Murphy looks like the type of inside forward we've been crying out for, Rian Stafford is impressive, and John Harkin too. Eamon Armstrong obviously a big loss, but a great opportunity for him.

Louth full value for their win but us having played 6 straight games 6 weeks in a row vs Louth's 4th game is as many weeks showed in our performance, we battled hard but were definitely off the pace and looked fatigued, it impacted the decision making aswell. Format needs to be looked at if it hasn't already to ensure teams have a more even playing field with rest weeks.
