Oh absolutely, and the head in the sand types can give us the red thumbs down all they like. It doesent change the reality. We accept the siege mentality and potentially flourish or else try to pretend we werent absolute sh*thouses in the past and become GAA poster boys like Mayo, Kildare etc. It isnt our way. We are Meath. We're the outsider. In fact the only gridging respect I often receive as a Meath man is from Dubs, and smaller more irrelevant football counties we have no history against.

Think somebody else posted it here but I heard they were doing hard training on the training camp so I wouldn't expect us to be at 100%, think they are thinking further ahead which is the right thing to do.

Devine failed the concussion test so won't be part of the 26 tomorrow."
Thinking further ahead ?? And it's the right thing to do ? Are u for real ? Some lads have awful short memories. Absolutely no way their looking any further than offaly tomorrow and if they are they are extremely foolish on naive .

Don't think you need to print for this game. You should have gotten an email during the week saying just turn up with your ticket

I am not telling you what I think. If the managment were seriously worried about Offaly do you think they would do a couple of days hard training and then a challenege match against a top team.

I think if we get a 3 or 4 point win I would be happy enough.

Exactly, cannot imagine team or management are thinking about anything other than Offaly.

Don't think they not focused on Offaly, I think they fully are, however I'd also be of belief that with challenge during week and hard training that the team is not at 100% finished at this stage and are aiming to peak in a few weeks, there is nothing wrong with that, all other division one teams will probably be the same. With the odd exception . Not been disrespectful of arrogant but I assume management and players feel that they don't need to be at peak to beat Offaly, I happen to agree with them. Might be proven totally wrong but that's football

When was this hard training done? Not this week I'd imagine? So if your talking about last weekend as far as I'm aware they went to Cork on Thursday so probably trained Friday and Saturday and played Sunday. Hard training 8 days before a game is not gonna affect them. Absolutely no chance their looking beyond this game or looking to peak later in the year . How did that work out for us last year ? We were done by June 9th. Brilliant year so far and delighted to get to Division 1 but I certainly don't think we're good enough yet to be looking beyond our next game.

I wonder did Tipp think there was no need to peak against Limerick tonight? Kildare and Clare scrape over line against so called no hopers, one game at a time and no matter how you dress it up, you are being disrespectful, not only to Offaly, but to Meath team and management if you think they would go into championship with that kind of attitude, especially with our recent record in Leinster.

This is not the 1980s or 90s we have to be 100% in every game we play or we won't win. It's all about work rate running game backs and forwards running up and down the field , this is a young team that is doing very well they don't need silly talk from Mr Dunne

Yes there is. Look the starting 15 plus subs could go out tonight on the lash get absolutely plastered , have a line of women not get to bed until 6 am, head to pt puke in changing room and the would still account for Offaly, and this yarra yarra crap of showing respect and been 100% is nonsense. There is ABSOLUTELY no need to, they would still beat Offaly.

There is not a hope in hell of Meath been at peak, they are at enough to beat Offaly that's for sure, but no they won't be and quite rightly wont be at peak for this game. Bad management if they were.

We have no given right to beat any team look at longford last year. I do believe we will win by six to eight points but I think talk like that is dangerous. We can't be looking down the road we have to take one game at a time I am sure the management is thinking like that
