Buckley, Michael

Born in Abbeydorney, Co.Kerry, in his younger days, Michael was very involved in hurling, and won a number of North Kerry Championship medals with Kilflynn in Kerry. When his playing days ended, he took up the whistle, and refereed many matches in his locality. A number of years later, he commenced playing golf, and many hours were spent in Co.Meath Golf Club, and a lot of other golf course all over the country. He was an avid supporter of the Kerry football team, and had a very keen interest in soccer and rugby also, going to many of the international matches in both codes.
