Nee Hughes, Theresa was a native of Claremorris. Her son James (Jimmy) is a very popular figure in Meath GAA circles, as a referee or as an official of Ballinlough GAA. He has been the club's delegate to the county board for decades and often livens up proceedings with many a witty comment.
