Paddy who passed on recently in his 63rd year won an intermediate chapionship with Bohermeen in 1973 and was part of the panel who were defeated the following year by Summerhill in the senior final. He later became chairman of the Bohermeen Martry Harps. His son Alan won junior championship in 2000 and 2006, plus he emulated his dad by winning an intermediate medal in 2008, all with St.Ultans. Paddy's brother Mickey is a long time member of the GAA and currently is a county board delegate for St.Ultan's.
