Hurling Championship round 5 fixtures

Hurling Championship round 5 fixtures
Wolfe Tones take on Kildalkey in the Iintermediate Hurling Championship B round 5 at Moylagh

The concluding round of the Meath Senior, Senior B, Intermediate and Intermediate B hurling championship takes place this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

It’s still all to play for across the four groups.

The finalists and the semi finalists of the Intermediate B will be decided on Friday. Boardsmill top the division. Neil Heffernan’s men are favourites to make the final. They take on Trim but a win for the ever improving Town side could see them stake a place in the knockouts. Second place Wolfe Tones take on holders Kildalkey in a repeat of last years final. Should Mark Lynch’s side pick up their third win they are assured of a place in the semi final or the final should the ‘Mill’ slip up.

The Intermediate is more clear cut. Rathmolyon have claimed their place in the final. The Village take on Dunboyne who need a win to have a say in the knockouts. Clann na nGael need to beat second place Drumree to keep a place in the semi final alive.

Senior B favourites Kilskyre/Moylagh can sit back a wait for the final. The North Meath combination take on struggling Longwood. Despite losing their last two encounters a win for Tony & Mick Healy’s men will keep them in the mix should Kit Mitchell Cup holders Killyon slip up to an ever improving Dunderry. If O’Mahony’s beat Blackhall Gaels the latter are relegated to the IHC for 2027.

A draw will secure a place in the senior final for Kilmessan for the first time since 2013. A win for Kiltale over bottom of the table Na Fianna will earn them a semi final spot. Should Na Fianna lose they are relegated to Senior B for 2027. The game of the weekend sees holders Ratoath take on Trim. The winners will earn a semi final spot, the losers are finished for the year.
