The U23 grade was introduced in 2025 as bridge to adult intercounty, and proved a success in its maiden year.

Meath lost out to Down in the U23 All-Ireland C final last season, but have come back strongly in their pursuit of silverware.

They come up against a strong Carlow outfit, with the Barrowsiders winning all three group games to progress to the decider. They have already defeated the Royals in the campaign, and will be looking to repeat the trick this weekend.
